haven’t tried new Estie’s but love that they’ve retained the swappable screw in nibs which was a feature of the vintage Esterbrook fp’s: would highly recommend getting a vintage model J and buying new/old stock nibs - my favourite is my 9128 EF flexible nib:)

There is even an adapter for vintage Esterbrook nibs to use on the new pens. Thanks for the recommendation!

1. I have a Good Blue L130 that is one of my favorite pens for drawing. I love both the pen AND the nib. So easy to control. At least as good as my Sailor Young Profit , though much more expensive. Didn't Sailor INVENT the zoom nib? 2. If you decide to smooth yours, it would be great to see it being done in a video.

Regarding 1. yes, I think they did. and 2. I'm not sure I will do this myself, but if I do it myself, I'm hesitant to film along because I am no professional. And I don't want to show things that I'm not sure are the right way. What if it works for me but not for anyone else? I would feel so bad.
