@KENTAROCHIBA correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Jigoro Kano supposedly 'invent' Kata-guruma? Isn't it the third move in the Nage No Kata? Isn't O-Goshi also in the Nage No Kata, or did I just really screw up my Shodan exam? All good Judo. It isn't easy to throw a resisting, skilled opponent. Not going to be pretty. Just effective.

the o goshi that Iliadis does its plain Brutal...I love hip throws, useful in Gi and No Gi situations, cause the underhook grip its almost the same...Im looking for a compilation of koshi waza throws used on competition but I cant seem to find one...and if someone can help me with this...Is Uki goshi not useful in competitions? cause only hip throws I have seen in matches are koshi guruma, harai goshi, o goshi, and sode...

You have the technique wrong at 2:41 it's skashi for Shinohara. Then Suzuki's ko soto gari not deashi.

About Douillet, you mark him for uchimata, while many people think (so do I) he's thrown by uchimata sukashi. You should have concentrate on real, clear ippon, for all of the others there is no question. Nothing but net.

There was no point for Douillet, it was clearly an Ippon for Shinohara; what happens to the executors body after the Ippon doesn't count, the same miss judgment happened to S. Keji recently. This referee should have been suspended but he still referees! The head of the IJF referring committee Mr. Kojima was forced out because of this.

@KENTAROCHIBA I'll have to disagree. Against Judokas judo is ugly. Judo vs non-judoka then it might be pretty. This is world class judo and it will be powerful ugly and aggressive.

Check out Japanese top Judo-Kas if you don't want to see UGLY judo. Most other judo is UGLY. The grabbing of the belt, bear hugging even after being thrown, 90degrees bowing down movements (heppiri-goshi) etc. etc. These have made judo very UGLY. Oh-Goshi, Morote, Kataguruma etc. are rather irregular wazas. Praise to judokas should be based on how good their Seoinage, Oosoto-Gari, Taiotoshi , Ippon-Zeoi or Uchimata are.
