I already told her this but, this family will follow Ms. Molly anywhere. She is just so honest and helpful and listening to her is a lot easier then some people. Tim Tracker is another person we listen to. So, as we look for travel tips, hints and accommodations I get a lot of pop ups of other people. But, Let Me Be Really Honest Here… Molly’s Voice is “So Very Relaxing” that after a long day at work as a nurse… I can actually listen to her and listen to the information she gives and I relax. Her voice doesn’t screech like other people and then the others… it is like they yell to get their point across and the tone they use… it just isn’t welcoming. Also, Ms. Molly always seems so Heart Felt and She is so Honest that you can’t help but relax and know what Information she is giving you is always going to be the best she can give at that moment in time. Ms. Molly you’re such an Angel and so very wonderful. Bless you so very much.

A little further info about the Berlin Wall piece.. the graffiti on it used to be way more fibrant but some awful guest decided to add their own graffiti that was so graphic that it had to be cleaned off, thus destroying the original graffiti. Info we used to learn as new security employees at CityWalk.

The Jurassic Park jeep in Island of Adventure was Jeep “JP12” in the movie. But after years of weather damage in universal, when it was restored by the official JP vehicle fan club (JP Motorpool), it was renamed to JP23. A lot of screen accurate details on it were removed to withhold the elements and tourists

I was sad to learn from Josh Gates on Expedition: Back to the Future that the DeLeorean currently on display was not actually screen used. They did originally have the screen used DeLeorean out on display, but the weather and guests were causing too much damage, so they put the screen used one in storage and put an extra one on display. I think they later donated the screen used one to a children’s hospital. In all this, they didn’t bother to change the plaque that is on display. 🤪

Fun fact the Delorean on display is not a screen used Delorean. It is a replica and the screen used in one is in the storage area of Universal.
@SophieMediaGaming2 жыл бұрын
At Marvel Island, that is the Hobgoblin, the successor to the Green Goblin. At the time Islands of Adventure was constructed, the Green Goblin was dead in the comics. Also, the Berlin Wall was huge, and once Germany was reunified, you could buy pieces of the wall. There is another section of the wall at the George H W Bush Presidential Library at Texas A&M University.

In the book, Jurassic Park is originally a jeep ride. The only reason its a "boat ride" is because Grant and kids end up in a raft cause its a quicker way for them to get to the welcome center but they eventually abandon that because they go over a waterfall and a T-rex is waiting for them. I highly recommend reading or even listening to the book, its amazing. They can make another Jurassic Park movie but more closely to the book that will be different than the first movie!

Great video! I'm really enjoying these secrets videos! About the Jaws questions you had, there is an explaination to them. Back when the Amity Island portion of the park was still operating, guests would find out that that was the 'real' Amity Island and the Amity Island we saw in the movie was a fictional version of it. The way guests would find this out was through queue videos that would play while guests were waiting for the ride. We find out through the videos (which are presented in a sort of local news network broadcast) that the events of the movie were inspired by events that occured in the 'real' Amity Island. What's intresting is that during the broadcast, you see interviews from the 'real' Chief Brody, Hooper, and even Quint (in the 'real' events of the story, Quint actually survived the encounter with Jaws). During Hooper's interview, Hooper is upset becuase the movie depicts Chief Brody as the one who took down Jaws by blowing him up but he claims it was actually himself that did it. The 'real' Hooper goes on to explain that when he went underwater in the cage to try to lethally inject Jaws, he was actually successful and did not drop the spear like it was depicted in the movie. With this information, my guess as to why you can see Jaws at Universal Studios is because in the 'real' events of the story, Jaws did not blow up and was instead injected by Hooper. I'm not an expert on theme parks, so sorry if I got any of the info wrong. This is just information I've gathered through various videos and other theme park outlets. I think the history of past attractions is super interesting and I encourage anyone interested in previous attractions to do their own research and find out more!

Loved the video! Do want to push back a bit on the River Adventure secrets though. In the Jurassic Park novel, it's still a car-based tour the characters go on when the T-Rex breaks out. But there is a scene later in the book when Tim, Lex, and Dr. Grant are chased by the T-Rex and they escape on an small inflatable raft which inspired the ride. Before the movie even came out, Universal already knew they wanted to make a ride based off of the film, and you can actually see concept art for the ride in the background of the scene when the adult characters have lunch :)
@beccacummings81822 жыл бұрын
Slight even further push back haha! The river adventure ride was included in the novel, it just wasn’t an opening day attraction and slated to open later had the weekend went well

Great, now I’m researching adding a universal day to the beginning of our spring break trip. It’s $xxx cheaper to fly two days earlier than we’d planned and two nights at UO is $xxx doubled so we are really only spending $xxx for two extra days of vacation. I learned this math from Molly.

Always love Molly's videos. So much great information & their fun. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with the name Mammoth Club. The trolls need to find some happiness in their lives. It's Zed (played by Rip Torn) who tells you to hit the red button on the MIB ride, not Will Smith. And it is the Hobgoblin, not Green Goblin.

The DeLorean at Universal isn’t actually a screen used car, regardless of what the sign says. The actual screen used car was removed at the beginning of 2020 and put in storage until it could be restored. However, there was ownership issues over who actually owns the car between Universal and Amblin/Bob Gale. What’s currently on display is a replica!

Other random Jurassic River Adventure stuff (heard in all the vlogs following Velocicoaster being built 2019-20): 1) First built in Universal Hollywood 2) design started before movie was fully written 3) The ride at IOA almost went where MIB was eventually placed (replacing Creature from Black Lagoon TV show set!) 4) The jeep ride and Trex almost went where Kong is, but it was too much like River Adventure 5) It costs more than the movie to make!
