I'm glad after watching old NBA games and playoffs that you see how much more exciting it was to watch back then when everything is a foul now. What really makes me mad is the amount of money these fools today get to do almost nothing.

Rambis going down was one of the high points of my childhood lol. As a 10 year old it was just funny. I don’t remember Cooper going into the photographers My dad was kind of a hard-core Boston fan other than the Red Sox

There are guys who maybe played as well. But, you can’t play that game better than that man. I’m a Boston guy. Never missed a game. It was so much fun. All his offensive attributes aside, when the C’s really needed a rebound? Like goddamn needed the ball? Larry got that one.

Bird said " *WE* played like a bunch of sissies" Bird always publicly took responsibility for any team shortcomings on the court. Years later when a teammate reminisced in an interview and referenced the comment, Bird made a point of reminding him that he had said *WE.* That he'd included himself in the remark.

Did you notice that when Rambis jumped back up, it was his teammate, Worthy, who pushed him into the photographers to keep him from doing something that might get him ejected. And then, it was Larry Bird who gave him a hand getting up out of the photographers. Later, when Bird and Kareem are toe-to-toe, it's Rambis who is behind Bird restraining and pulling Him out of ejection danger. Granted, he might also have been trying to save Kareem from a knuckle sandwich 😏 but... I think it was cool how Bird sort of "de-personal-ized" the foul on Rambis with the hand up, and, it seems to me, Rambis was returning that favor.

Kareem threw the elbow at Bird's head because he thought Bird hit him in the face a second before. But it was actually Kevin McHale who hit Kareem. After McHale took out Rambis, the entire series changed in the Celtics favor. Larry Bird won series MVP but honorable mention shoulda also went to McHale for clotheslining Rambis. The Lakers started to fight, instead of playing ball.
