Always disliked cream finishes. Don’t know what it is about them but I have quite small hands and they always make may nails look weirdly ‘heavy’. I also had a lot of friends at school who would paint their nails with white out and colour over it with felt pens which has definitely put me off. Thanks for the video Kelli!

Honestly september is my favourite month for that exact reason : I get to enjoy the last bits of summer while a little moodyness is settling, somethin in the air and the light feels very specific to that time of the year, I just love to go out and TAKE IT ALL IN. I think those polishes translate that vibe really nicely, and that essie polish reminds me of a school uniform

For me the summer to fall transition is deeply in the magenta family or the purple with golden shimmer. Like Corpse Flower from Starrily, Tsucan Tile from Cirque Colors, Love Potion and Playful and Ammolite (as a topper) from Fun Lacquer, Yes We Cran from kbshimmer, and Bitsy from Enchanted Polish. Starrily also has a topper called magma that I love to put over a maginta or violet creame right about now too.

I agree with you plain jellies get kinda old? But a jelly sandwich is always new and exciting! When I first got into nail polish again as an adult I bought all the Cremes. But I haven’t used them nearly at all since discovering the vast variety of formulas available. 😅 my brain’s like “why wear a creme with (or without) a topper.. if I can just wear something pre-packed with flakies or shimmers??” 😅

Transitional season shades are so great! I have one case for each season of polishes but definitely a June 25th polish is a way different vibe than an Aug 30. I switch from summer to fall collections in mid-Sept but these are a perfect vibe for right before then!

I’m still in the summer vibes, I don’t get the dark autumnal itch until late September lol. Today I was at Walmart trying to find a specific sheer matte and was told by an associate they only carry sinful colors online now 😭😭 but they did have a new line from L.A. colors, sheer jellies! So I was stoked to pick up a few of those since I felt the Essie jellies were too expensive.

For late summer, I like yellowed greens, yellow in general, and bright red-oranges like OPI Monsooner or Later. There was a recent OPI summer collection with that type of shade range (I believe containing Pearadise Cover, and several browns), and that was very August to me. It's the aesthetic of the wetlands as it starts to cool down. Washed out, faded sea shades also work, depending on the we Meanwhile teal and navy blues like the one you featured are extremely September.

I do seasonal polishing too but this time of year in Texas for me screams football! 🏈 😂 So that means school colors nails! Grandkids school colors are green and white for one set, black and gold for another. September feels more like a transitional stage for me. Football is still going but it’s beginning to finally cool down some, but still plenty of hot days too, but it’s September for goodness sake! These colors especially the orange sunset colors are ones I lean towards and neutrals, browns.

I really miss the lit from within polishes. When I first really got into nails they were common in the mainstream, now I meet people in the community who don’t know what I mean because they are so rare. It stays hot here for awhile, so I go into corals and fuschias/magentas before hitting the mauves, browns, oranges, mustards (autumn leaves and red onions) reds never go amiss

Oh, I have ILNP Good Morning! I like to sandwich it. 2 coats GM, 2 coats Everything Taco, 1 coat GM (with base and top coat, of course) It makes it extra sparkly and awesome.

Yikes, I HAD 5/10 of these polishes at one time. Unfortunately, I had to start removing (de-staching) some of my lesser used polishes this year as I have no more room for anything new😳 The yellows/golds got booted (sorry SunGlow) because they kinda clash with my skin tone too much! I tend to gravitate to fall colors, for sure, and this is a perfect selection of fun polishes. Just a little surprised to not see any greens in this selection💚 I always associate green with end of summer/fall, especially as my garden is so green and glorious right now!

I've been having trouble trying to figure out what to wear lately, so this was awesome. I'm a seasonal wearer as well and I couldn't wait so I have Zoya Rachel on right now - I think I was pretending that Florida is not miserable hot right now. I'm about to change to MC Dark Horse. Lately I've been into the lighter browns and olives like Cliffside Karaoke and Force of Nature, and ILNP Melody on the toes for the exact reasons you mentioned on those bright metallic rusty oranges! I'm very much like you in the way I wear my polishes seasonally. This, I call the transitional season between Summer and Fall, though I begin Fall on the first of September simply because own so many.
