Probably the best birthday gift I got for myself 2 years ago. And STILL EASILY THE BEST Leader of Legacy. Perhaps of the Siege-to-present line of Generations. What he lacks in serious complexity, he more than makes up for in doing the simple stuff VERY well, though not to say he doesn't have clever tricks, coz he does, and I'm fine paying $55 for the SHEER AURA!

2:09 I can confirm that your theory why Sandstorm’s chest doesn’t stay up is half correct. Those tabs in front of his arms are too big for their slots and 5 mm peg that pegs into that plate under his head doesn’t actually plug in so just clip part of the tab off and thicken the 5 mm peg

My copy's chest tabs in without needing the claws at all, that's an interesting problem on yours. Oddly, some Target stores in the US still have a fair amount of him and Skyquake, like a wave that moldered in warehouses until someone remembered to ship them out. Megatron I know is pretty high quality so I'm surprised to see him after so many rounds of weekly toy coupons.

I found him in store months ago, he is good but I never know how to pose dragon mode. Only problem I have is that the gold for the dragon neck always looks bent, but I see no actual bent when he transformers, only in dragon. Tho he is very show accurate as his tail was behind his head in the TV show (I looked for clips and saw it)

hasbro really peaked with this figure. even without the DNA upgrade kit this is a solid release. my only gripe is that i don't like the silver color on the face, that's why i custom painted mine. now if hasbro would consider the other transmetal 2 bots (Cheetor, Blackarachnia, Rampage, Depth Charge, Dinobot II) i would be a happy camper.

Funny timing with this upload actually because I recently had a bit of an incident with this figure, I'd positioned the tail in a weird way thst made it pop off, and I was really struggling to reattach it, so I pushed really hard and unfortunately I hadn't made note of where my thumb was, so as it snapped into place it straight up punctured my thumb, so that's the first time a transformer has ever drawn blood from me.

If his dragon chest & abdomen was 2 separate parts connected by a swivel& hinge system. It could’ve rotated 180° at the dragon chest then hinged up to cover the dragon abdomen, giving him a back that looked super jacked. If DNA or someone ever cares to do an upgrade, I hope they see this comment.

Alright, word was that Straxus was supposed to release as part of the 1st Legacy line, but they changed their mind and released this Megatron figure instead. Now I don't even like Beast Wars. So, for them to swap Straxus (A highly anticipated G1 upgrade) for this made me hate this figure even more! But now that Straxus has arrived... The Dragon mode looks alright.
