Hi! I would prefer this older model without the metal camera ring and I like that the bottom is open and that genuine leather looks very beautiful and exclusive on Ryan London. For example, the BlackBrook leather cases also have the side buttons open and the bottom open, and both the outside and the inside are genuine leather, which I like, I don't particularly like the artificial fabric inside, it's even more wonderful and beautiful, because more of the iphone sticks out and the leather looks wonderful and high quality. At the same time, it is very difficult to order both of them to Estonia, and the shipping costs are about 20 euros in addition to the case. Makes me wonder if I will order, although yes, quality genuine leather will last a very long time. Thank you!

@@KriTaKriTaKriTa I'm looking for a case similar or probably the same as what you were looking for. One with an open bottom and sides, BlackBroom is the only one I could find that is genuine leather. I live in the UK and cannot find a reseller that is based here, the delivery would cost £19 and there's a good chance for vat to be applied on the order too. So, I might just need to settle for either of the Ryan London cases. I would actually prefer a mix of the two cases, the open bottom with the metal edge around the camera. I'm not sure if the BlackBrook case would be worth ordering from the US with all the extra cost, how much did it end up costing you if you don't mind me asking? and was it worth it at the end?

BlackBeook is a bit thicker than other leather cases because it has all leather inside and out, around the plastic frame and makes the iPhone a bit bulkier. But the smell of real leather is wonderful.

To be honest that is a valid reason lol, I use the open bottom one a lot at home, I only really put the other one on if I am going out and dropping my phone on concrete is more of a possibility haha!!

Honestly, I really do enjoy the open bottom more, as it gets in the way less when swiping up from the bottom and also doesn’t have anything in the way of the USB-C port. Plus it’s all leather design just looks more sleek. The “Metal” version with the metal ring around the camera bump and the closed bottom is a superior case in terms of protection. If you are accident prone, or even paranoid about breaking/scratching/damaging your brand new 15 Pro/Max, then 100% go with this one. Peace of mind is valuable lol If you are less accident prone/paranoid and just want something that looks a little nicer, then go for the open bottom. If I absolutely had to pick one, I’d probably go with the Metal version (because I am paranoid and have OCD), however I do find myself using the open bottom one more! I hope this helps, there really isn’t an incorrect answer, both are absolutely amazing.

I still have the 7 plus with apple leather case that is open at the bottom and it still looks new..I will get the 15 plus soon unfortunately I see Ryan don’t make the metal version for the plus.. so will have to go with all leather version..thanks for your review..

Ah, yes I have. It’s strong. I mounted the phone with the case on to a MagSafe car mount and swung it around, the phone did not fall off. No issue with the magnet in my opinion. Thanks for watching and for the comment 🖖🏼🤓

I’ve just ordered the new case based on this and Stephen Robles video. Thanks. I see how the quick release of the new one could come across as a bit snide but I also think such a small business doesn’t have the same manoeuvrability as a bigger business like Spigen or Nomad etc. It’s probably just a guy called Ryan that makes all these. 😂 I’m sure they would most likely work out a compromise for dissenters that reach out to them.

Yes, Ryan London is a small business and one of the people making the cases is the guy named Ryan lol. My issue was that it released so quickly after the first one that they must have known beforehand and could have just let us know (still, I really like “Ryan London” so I’m not mad at them tbh). I have both cases now and honestly they’re both amazing. The “Metal” more protective version is great if you’re paranoid / clumsy. Otherwise the standard with the open bottom is just so sleek and clean! Let me know what you think of the case when you get it - oh and you’re going to love the smell lol. I’ve had it before when I’m excited because I’ve bought “the best new thing” then you find out it’s been usurped almost immediately. It certainly takes away the shine of that purchase. Glad to hear they fixed it though, that’s a good touch. Yeah looking forward to the case, I previously bought the Nomad on a Black Friday deal but I’ve never been satisfied with it. The rubber edges, which also have an unsymmetrical larger bottom lip than at the top is a design that doesn’t appeal. The RL looks just right. 👌

Hi!! I did have a look at the Aspen by Andar case, it looks very very similar to the Metal Ryan London case. I have not personally tried the Andar case, but it does look good and the reviews seem very positive. I can personally vouch for the Ryan London cases as I own them and the quality is incredible. Haha interesting!! I do like that a case doesn’t get in the way of my USB-C cables and that swiping from the bottom is simple without a case in the way. But protection wise I think a full cover is less scary haha. What do you think of the part around the camera module? Would you have preferred the metal ring like on the new case?

Hi, I found the case and bought it without Ryan London reaching out to me, I found them because I saw an ad on Instagram. They did reach out AFTER I made the video and have sent me their new “metal ring” case (the updated one I show near the end of the video), which I have now received. They wanted me to review it. So yes, they did reach out AFTER this video was published, not before.

@@ThisBrownGeekI love and hate it. It's a beautiful leather case, its structure is great for protection and it's light weight. I hate the case because it has NO GRIP AT ALL. It is so smooth/slick I have dropped it a few times and I have to squeeze and hold it so it doesn't just fall out of my hands. It has absolutely no texture or grip, it is just too smooth to comfortably hold. I can't use this case anymore.

Hey - that’s what a new leather case feels like when it’s new. This is normal. You need to wear it in a little. Trust me, the more you use it, the more grippy it will feel. My is very grippy now, totally different from when it was new. My advice: stick with it for a solid week and wear it in a bit. Hold it often, maybe even wipe it down with a damp cloth and then dry it.
