What's your favourite lens to shoot on?

I like the 85mm f1.8 Sony. 24-240rf canon, and sigma 150-600mm. The problem with the sigma I got chromatic aberration in the morning and in ocean shots. Purple fringe. I contacted them and they said that was over exposure. I would be careful of that lens.

Great video! A note since I own both the 35mm 1.8 and 1.4 GM: Autofocus is faster on the 1.8. The 1.4 tends to hunt slightly longer and struggles even more in low light. And the 1.8 has no focus breathing. It’s bad on GM, really bad.. While I hate the lack of an aperture ring, it wasn’t a big enough downside and I have replaced the 1.4 GM with the 1.8 for all shooting scenarios

what the best aperture you use and do you use a nd filter

F1.8 is great that’s what we use most of the time but f/5.6 to f/7.0 seems to be the sharpest. And yes we use an ND

Forgot to mention that the Interview shots at 3:41 and 3:44 were shot on the Sigma Art lens

love my 35mm, but i love the transitions and light flares you have added to the videos! Definitely need a tutorial on these, they look slightly different than everyone else’s so it helps stand out!

I really like your reviews! I did not tested this lens yet, but I tested the gmaster version on the fx6 and i have to say it looked terrible. No chracteristics at all and everything I shot on the lens looked extremely boring. Maybe it was also the fault of the fx6. I dont know why everyone is loving it. The color were terrible.

This is quite surprising having presumed the GM was technically better than the f1.8 lens. But it looks like there’s definitely some mixed reviews about it. The fx6 can produce a great image we know that for sure. I guess it depends on the situation it’s used in

@@meliorstudios for the money the image from a bmpcc looks way better. And if your compare the fx6 with the red komodo the komodo looks way better straight out pf camera.

Ah lovely coincidence as I just bought this very lens to test out on my a7iii! One thing that’s also a big pro for this lens over the G-master and possibly even the sigma is focus breathing! This lens has almost no noticeable focus breathing on a camera like the a7iii but g master is horrendously bad. Not an issue if you have a more recent camera with the focus breathing compensation but for me on the a7iii, this was a huge factor in me picking up the 35mm 1.8 actually over a lens like the g-master

I haven’t had a lot of experience with other lens except the Tamron 28-75mm. I tried a canon 24-240RF on R5 but I didn’t get to play with it enough. I liked the 150-600mm sigma lens. It was really nice but to heavy and big.

It doesn’t have in built stabilisation but if you have good in body stabilising you should be good for handheld work. Main thing is adding weight for handheld work
