Funny thing, Steve Sykes' brother was my middle school art teacher, and later my boss. I was starry eyed when he told me about how Steve went from breeding geckos out of his bedroom to being one of the biggest producers of geckos in the country. Hopefully there'll be another nerd (read: me) from Jersey who'll make it big in reptiles one of these days!

Nice one, Dave! Beautiful Leos to be seen and it was nice to see you highlight a few up & coming breeders. I love this approach because I don't necessarily want to see all the reptiles at a given show. If, like me, you're more of a gecko person maybe you only want to see the geckos from the show. Thanks again.

Sad to see a huge content creator and reptile influencer incorporate Geeky Geckos. For the past 3 years Frank has been removed from expos and called out for how unethical he is. He has been called out by actual biologist who have said that his lemon frost breeders will prove nothing and is just breeding sick animals. He has released leopard geckos into the wild in Arizona state to make his own leopard gecko area to have them in the wild etc. He feeds sick, dead, or animals he didn’t have the space for to his tegus. Which he has filmed and took down the vidoe of feeding an egg bound ball python to his tegu. Im an oncology student and have been breeding leopard geckos for 11 years now and writes genetic papers and information about their genus to UCLA, and I actually used franks lemon frost breeding as a project to prove that you can't cure the cancer from the gene. I really respected your content and information, but i cannot support someone who will allow an actual animal abuser show off animals that are all crossed with his lemon frost stuff. This information about Frank has been known for years we all tried to warn him but he refused help and now he is being investigated by fish and wildlife for releasing animals into the wild and tracking it.

Plus, the really awesome balls, crested, and Leo’s are hella of expensive these days. Not really suited for the average buyer. I understand the genes/morphs for the pricing m but it is a little of a bummer.

Idk, some of the different shows filmed by Snake discovery and other channels seem to show quite a lot… dart frogs, fat tailed gecko morphs, rhino ratsnakes, different corn morphs/scaleless, etc. Lot of Varanidae and turtles and tortoises too.
@GameOfMorphs7 ай бұрын
WOW dav, im really disappointed you had frank aka geeky geckos on your channel.. you should really do your research on people before having them on here. he is the worst leopard gecko breeder, he has done some really messed up things. if you dont believe me ask around!
@davkaufmansreptileadventures7 ай бұрын
This was filmed at the January Pomona super show, before his videos came out. You told me to do research but if you did any research, you would know that there was no way that I would know who he was or what he was doing at the time that this was filmed, nor did I hear about it at the time that this was uploaded. Unless you’re watching a live video on KZbin, content is filmed and uploaded months in advance sometimes. Hope this helps clarify some things. He will certainly never be in another one of my videos.

@@davkaufmansreptileadventures he has been an issue for years, and he delete s alot of the content that gets him in trouble. Take it down, edit it and remove his section. It would be better for your video, the leopard gecko hobby and the entire reptile industry to be honest if he isn't given any air time even in videos like this.

great video, but i really wish you wouldn’t support/feature Geeky Gecko Crestions. They have several videos of them literally peeling the skin off of geckos while they struggle in pain, geckos with stick-thin tails and wounds from being cohabed, and he picks them up by the tail or by one or two legs.
