This thing is made by and for people who know how to have fun and make the most of the little things in life… taking something so potentially mundane as a flashlight and turning it into something like this is very cool. Thanks brother! Yeah they basically tried to cram every feature thats ever existed into a single flashlight and they did a pretty good job! I think the price is the biggest deterent lol. BTW you got a nice sale last night! NVG10 and the RAID-X. Check your PayPal lol

I just got mine, and it looks tiny in my hand! Can't wait to charge it up and play with it. You didn't mention the other features, I think it has other multi color 'show' lights between the fidget spinner and head.

This is a flashlight that does not keep the declared parameters. But it's interesting and cool... to put on the shelf and play sometimes 😁

Love the concept of a zoomable LEP, but would prefer a more bare bones light with atleast an 18650, better 21700. This thing is huge for the small battery

​@UrbanSurvivor when I first read about the Loop there was mention of future availability of an 18650 body. I already have the rare Amutorch BT55 zoomable LEP and know it is vastly more practical than fixed focus spot designs. I was almost ready to pull the trigger when the review site 1Lumen got a Loop and failed during testing. I love the Loop design but cringe over the 18350 and lack of flat protective lens for the optic. After seeing your review I am tempted to get a Loop again even though the price is eye watering.

Being zoomable is good the beam distance is good the fidget spinners are a waste of time it doesn’t the hit numbers it states and the run time is a big let down

At that price range, I just can't see any justification for its performance or aesthetics. Just a hundred more and you can get yourself the Weltool W4 Pro. And fundamentally, if you're going to value judge or want a larger beam profile, you should not be purchasing an LEP to begin with. If all around utility is your goal and it has to include the functionality of an LEP, then you're actually better off buying the Nitecore P35i, Lumintop Thor Pro or Mateminco FW3.

I have the zoomable Amutorch BT55 and can attest to the vastly greater practical use of a variable focus design. Consider the top dog in LEP design currently, the Acebeam W50, has a wide ranging motorized zoom as its design. The LED/LEP hybrids you mentioned have really anemic LEP elements and mediocre LED emitters, and are large and cumbersome. Once you've experienced a compact single cell LEP with variable zoom in person you will understand.

I owned a Maxtoch Xsword LA60. That's why I know the Nitecore, Thor Pro and Mateminco are all better. When you zoom out on an LEP, the beam is useless, have more rings than Saturn with noticeable tint shift and full of artifacts, exacerbates its already low lumen output by dimming further, and still won't provide you with the spill you can get from LED based lights. It can neither throw as well, nor illuminate your surrounding as well. In trying to be the jack of all trades in beam performance, it fails at everything. That's why if you want a more usable beam profile, an LEP is not what you should be buying. You're better off with an SBT90.2 based light if you want extreme throw with usable spill. This LOOP LEP is ridiculously overpriced. The Maxtoch LA60 is $40 more, throws for 2.8+ kilometers, is zoomable, and flatline produces 1.9 million candela for over 3 straight hours. This LOOP can barely even compete with the antiquated Thor 1, which is smaller and half the price with same 350,000 candela output. You'd be lucky to hit 500 lumens with the LOOP; this light does not even come close to the proclaimed 910 lumens. You're not paying $320 for the LEP, you're paying that amount for the fidget spinner and the machining of the body. So yes, the Nitecore P35i, Lumintop Thor Pro and Mateminco FW3 are all better than this LOOP SK01S.

After re-reading the posts, I feel the need to clarify. I'm not saying a zoomable LEP is necessarily a bad thing in principle. It can be decently implemented in the case of the Acebeam W50 or the Maxtoch LA60. But those lights actually deliver on their performance; the price you're paying for those lights are reflected by their falsifiably tested numbers. That's not the case with the LOOP SK01s, and that's what rubbed me the wrong way. There were a rash of reviews on this light being posted a few weeks ago and everyone who did not have the testing apparatus simply cited LOOP's numbers without realizing that the beam performance will never match their advertised numbers. Bluntly, I feel people were getting ripped off because they're expecting an LEP that on paper had better lumen output than a $500 top of the line LEP, and what they got was one that barely competed with an entry level module that disappoints in every way related to the LEP side of the equation. It wouldn't bother me so much if the light was advertised as a fidget toy first. Its novelty there would be unquestioned. But the priority wasn't on the aesthetics or fidget spinner, it was equally on the performance itself, including the output and constant current driver. Output was 450 lumens at startup, and dropped like a rock to 150 lumens in the first 5 seconds. The candela rating and max throw distance, hallmark signatures of any LEP based light, are lacking to put it nicely. If this light performed anywhere near the level of the Amutorch or its similar priced range competition like the Thor Pro or Mateminco FW3, you can forgive its high priced entry point. But it fails to live up to the most basic point here: the LEP module. It's bordering on false advertisement. And unlike cheap knockoffs you can find on Amazon where you can afford to not care about it, the price you pay for this light sets it apart, in the wrong direction.

Hmmmm I'm a bit struck by this video. You are sharing no actual measurements, but use the specified numbers only. You should know those are untrustworthy, right? I love your comparison videos, and you do a great job at making videos in general. But man, you really put me off with this video. Its performance is pretty poor! But you don't actually share that? Why not? You are talking about candela and lumens in your closing part of the video, pretending them to be true. But oh boy, those numbers are exaggerated immensely.

Hey 1Lumen, thank you for the feedback. I appreciate you being both kind and constructive at the same time. Unfortunately I dont have the equipment (or knowledge) to produce those excellent lumen measurement and runtime graphs like you do and rely on ratings provided by the brands themselves. Seems like many big brands are more consistent with proper reporting of their performance based on ANSIFL1 compared to a smaller brand like LOOP, though I'm sure its not always the case. I must say your work is fantastic. Just read your review of this same light and saw that based on your measurements the lumen outputs were off but the intensity specs were pretty accurate (at least from turning on the light) I do see how that measurement is inconsistent with the ANSIFL1 standards. How would you feel about me referencing your lumen measurements and runtime graphs from time to time? I'd be linking to your work of course.

Yeah I got my 40k lumens Manker Mk38 for 500 bucks. It come with 2 cooling fans on it. The Skywalker is cool but not 400 bucks.
