Re Command hook removal: Make sure to pull the adhesive tab straight down against the wall, and do it verrryyy slowly. Also, especially with the larger ones, watch out for when it finally comes (jumps) off. I’ve gotten smacked in the face a couple of times.

Yes to Govee. I have the water alarm in my basement and it went off while I was out of town; I got a message on my phone. Friends unlocked my house and let a plumber in to fix a burst pipe. Without the alarm, the water would have accumulated for two more days. Highly recommend.

My fav things in 2023 were humidifiers (one for the office and one for the bedroom) - they have helped my husband with his dry eyes and my sinus pressure as well as some command hooks I used for various things. I can't believe 3M isn't sponsoring you yet! Thanks for the video (a good distraction for me), we had to put our cat to sleep today, she has been struggling for the past couple of weeks. Give the bean a hug for me, they just don't live long enough!

Because of you I have the Elfa over the door organizer in the linen closet. AND...... I'm excited to tell you that The Container Store will be coming out in 2 weeks to install my new closet organizer!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂 I've had the designfor a few years but finally made up my mind. When I went into the store They asked me how I found out about them and I told them your story... We have 3 Govee water sensors. They are very sensitive, can be programmed to send notifications to phone(s), works exactly as advertised. I would recommend highly. Not costly but can save you money from leaking water damage.

The security roller is a must! I have another brand but it has cut down in my shredding time and made such a difference. I’m definitely going to check out the freezer baskets which I plan to use for shopping. Imagine placing groceries directly into the basket, into the car, then carrying into the house! Hallelujah!!

I have just a few spices. Instead of alphabetical, I group them by sweet or savory. Salt goes in between (they’re currently on a turntable) sweet and savory because it is used with both groups of seasonings.

YES!!! I was waiting to see if you'd include the freezer baskets. I was using milk crates for mine but they were so heavy to move when loaded with food. I switched to these (took a total of 12 baskets because I have a large chest freezer) but it's made my life soooo much easier. And how did you *know* I needed a solution for storing a silicone baking mat? I used one for the first time this past week.

I have an LG washer and it has a built in magnetic thing on the door so it doesn’t close all the way. But that one is good to know for a washer without one. Like the freezer baskets. You are really making me think with that one, Kay. Haha

I'm totally trying a new basket system in my freezer...they have handles to lift out, but they are metal instead of plastic. The jury is out on whether I think that was a good idea, but I do love that you can just lift out the burger to get to the sausage links and brats.

After 13 months, we are (hopefully) 1 month away from moving back into our house after a frozen/broken fire sprinkler pipe total house flood and I’m gathering ideas for putting the house back together - I totally feel you on the spice drawer happiness (that will be a new opportunity for me in a revamped kitchen setup) and the Elfa closet (our kids had them but I will now have one too!). I’m also going to use some of the Command Strip hacks like for the silicone baking mats - awesome! Oh and the freezer baskets - GENIUS - we will be replacing our 30 yr old chest freezer with another one and I’d love to start over with a better system for retrieving items!!! Thanks for the ideas!

I have the freezer baskets and love them. I’m not a fan of Command hooks because I’ve had terrible luck removing some while others just fall off of the wall. I love the look of the pans, but I have an induction stove, so I don’t think they would work.

When installing Command Strips follow the directions carefully. Buy the correct weight size and wait 24 hours after installing before hanging something on them. Mine have been up for 10 years so far. When removing them, pull straight down, slowly, so they don't bounce off and hit your face.

Thanks Kay for this. I like the front load washing machine doorstop. It is good for those who have cats. I may buy one for my sister, as she always says to close the door to the machine as she is afraid the cats will go inside and get shut in.😅 But this door stopper is great. It leaves the door ajar enough for air circulation but not too wide where the cats can get into it. Love Caraway pans, I would like to get the mini set to start off with and the GOvi for my lamps. And the freezer baskets as I have just been bagging the same meats togethe. And yes yes i rememeber rwading the freezer instructions regarding good air flow, these would be good for the deep freezer. I will have to save for an Elfa free standing desk. I HAVE BEEN EYEING elfa for years. I had to stop going to the Container store. I believe that desk would would work good for my spaceas I am afraid to put hoales in this 70+ year old houses wall. And I know they can customize it to my needs and the way I work.and organize. Or at least try to organize. 😊
