The Soviet Object 906 light tank is probably the best of its type in War Thunder, at least in my opinion. This 7.7 vehicle is stabilized, has a very fast autoloader, and APHE rounds that can take out just about anything in one hit. I think Gaijin should move it back to 8.0, it has no business fighting 6.7s.

Once I was in a battle with my Leopard 1 in the new map I was fighting one of these obj 906s and I managed to get a shot on his turret, killing one of the crew members (who I thought was the loader of the supposedly non-autoloading tank) At the time I didn't know it had an autoloader, and a real fast reload for that, so I sat on front of him to put another round into him, reasoning that I would out-reload him since he had shot at me at the same time I shot him Y'all probably can guess what happened

Object gets a faster autoloader, larger ready rack, APHE , stabilizer, better reverse speed and can swim. AMX-30-90 gets a slightly better HEAT-FS round. That guy had severe Russia suffers syndrome.

If you consider that the AMX is .50 cal proof then I would also say its better, I personally never had a problem dealing with those vehicles (obj906 pt76 normal ver and bmps) since I usually spam my HMGs at anything I see. Though it's most likely that i played against people who didn't use their vehicle to their full potential

@@user-rs5ui5lg5i I’ve .50d 906s many times before. They usually survive unless you’re firing at a vulnerable spot. Hit the rear and you’re only going to damage the engine, hit the front and they’ll bounce. Top works for tall tanks and planes but only rounds to the sides will kill if you’re anything shorter. Then again, it’s still up to the whims of the snail as sometimes you can shoot this thing with a 120 mm cannon and “bounce”. Heck, I’ve shot this thing with my CEV’s 165 HESH before and it survived.

You should play the IKV 91 now that it has had its B.R. increased. It is "no armor best armor" while also having a laser rangefinder and a 400mm pen heatfs. One of my all time favorites.

I remember the patch when the OBJ 906 came. People thought the PT-57-2 or whatever that shit is called was OP. Imagine a time when you were at 7.0 BR with a 4 second reload. vs WWII tanks and maybe a few centurions here and there. This was before Sweden, Italy, Israel, and China. When it was just US, GER, RU, Brit, and japan tanks were just released but didn't have what they have now.

Rolls D20, IKV uses saving throw, gets constant 1's on an IKV that requires a 1 roll miracle bounce. Pressure- Farts outside of M10, rocks fall on M10.

Personally I think the premium cv90105 is the best tank in the game I would say I’m a average to a little above average player and I get like 5-7 kills average a game in it the fast mobility good gun fast reload and amazing thermals makes it a amazing tank for 9.7 but I also think it is under tiered and would probably still do good at 10.7 but it normally fights 10.7 because it constantly gets up tiered

Its really fairly balanced for 7.7 when you look at other tanks around that br range. Its just br compression hits extra hard around the 6.7-8.0 range, where you have WW2 medium tanks fighting cold MBTs with HEATFS. like T44-100 vs M60A1 AOS is totally fair and balanced

Object 906 is really one of the best light tanks. I did -6 in my first battle. I even had no repairs or fire extinguishers I have noticed one curious detail. Obj 906 has a slight elevation on turret roof. I'm not really sure, but it's probably extra space for breech to be lifted, which might provide some extra depression, compared to most soviet tanks

Hey Spooks another vehicle I reccommend is the ARL-44, the french tiger as I like to call it. Powerful 90mm with really good hull armour, only down side is the lack of a proper reverse gear, it's the size of france and the turret cheeks can be a bit of a weakspot. Edit: It's french so no APHE :3
