Without being too critical here - I think the smaller sizes in this concept works much better. I see very few additional benefits from the larger size and $3.25 million price. But, you lose the ability to sale as a couple, and a very deep draft precluding you from my anchorages. Additionally, there are essentially no window areas (or very small windows) for visibility from the salon area. For those interested in performance, certainly many smaller options give outstanding performance.
@johnsm1002 жыл бұрын
I tend to agree, a fair bit of the volume is unnecessary space, like the empty area in the saloon centre which serves no real purpose other than lengthening the distance between places you use, or the overly large heads, could lose 20% of volume with no real downside. Would be interesting to see a swing-keel LC, might fair better, or as you suggested go for a smaller sister. Lovely boat tho 🙂

Quiet often I get underwhelmed by the accommodation on some of the monohulls, this one really does look like it has made the best use of space to get more people onboard. Cheers for the vid.

If I got an euro for every time the Italians proved to be the best yachtbuilders in the world, I could actually afford this yacht.

Since your comment implies you can NOT afford one, either you are unintentionally insulting the Italians, or I am naïvely not recognizing a good trolling.

One thing I have noticed on all the videos (and this is not intended to critical, but an area for improvement) is that things like cabin height/headroom and similar dimensions are rarely discussed. As someone who is a bit above average height, such things are relevant.

Beautiful boat. Can´t help but be reminded of the 77ft class of Wallys of around 2000 (e.g. Carrera 2). 20+ years later "production yards" have come to look like it. Although admittedly the beam of the stern of this almost makes the older Wallys look like narrow hulled clasics.... ;)

In reality, I believe that this type of design, both in terms of exteriors and interiors, stems from what I consider to be among the best vessels ever built, the Advanced Yachts. They were truly the first to offer a different level of livability, and their boats are an exemplification of the new frontiers of interior design, where light and space blend perfectly regardless of the chosen size, while combining functionality and comfort.

A very beautiful boat but i miss handrails along the cockpit table and another thing i dont recall what its called.. the fake teak that doesnt get as hot as hell.. Why dont put it on from scratch? I worry that this trend towards minimalism and that designer look will mean that the differentiating factor between these yachts will boil down to the design of the sink faucets, taps for those in the UK.
@oguzkunak81442 жыл бұрын
When crossing an ocean, you can be sure that the owner will take that snug cabin just behind the galley, and leave that spacious forward cabin to the crew. 😂
@pootsman67222 жыл бұрын
Not that it really affects me (as I don't have £3 mill!), but it'd be great if these companies started thinking more about renewable energy generation on these yachts. I guess it does affect the design but a lot of the cat manufacturers are making big strides in this area, embedded solar in the hull, coach roof, hybrid engines etc. Maybe people buying these don't care and I suppose once you get aircon in a yacht, you'll be using a generator a fair bit anyway.
@angela1984a2 жыл бұрын
This. A similar sized cat or trimaran would also be a lot lighter compared to this since they wouldn't have to lug around that lead keel. That would mean that they could get a lot more range from a battery bank if needed. They would also probably be able to sail instead of motor in lighter wind-conditions... They would probably also be faster which in turn would mean that they could hydro-generate more power when under sail.
@shinybaldy2 жыл бұрын
Worrying about renewable energy on an opulent luxury yacht is like rich ppl talking about turning the tide on plastic while flying on a private jet.
@pootsman67222 жыл бұрын
@@shinybaldy I agree. My comment is as much about being off grid for longer periods of time than anything and I'm not just talking about the multi-million pound yachts, it'd be nice to see this on monohulls generally.

Without being too critical here, "orientated" isn't a word. Please consult a verb conjugator for the proper forms of 'to orient' and also review the noun 'orientation'. There is no "orientate." Someone who couldn't conjugate correctly made that error, and now everyone on youtube is doing it. It's distressing.
