I love the Aluminum carry-on and it looks good--too good! I would not want to draw attention to my luggage if I had to check it for any reason. Durability and functionality are important. I want it to be high end in some ways just not too high end so that those who might pilfer it would be tempted.

I have a 20" and a 24" set from Level8 . They are the Textured series. I absolutely love them! I received the packing cubes with my purchase, 8:29 and I couldn't be happier! Best brand ever. I'm 5'3" and I have zero problems with the handles or handling of these luggage.

Don't blame the luggage. Blame the baggage handlers. When we went to Hawaii (with BRAND NEW HIGH QUALITY LUGGAGE) our luggage was new, I want to say it was around $1200.00 in 1989. When we got back home it looked like we had taken a one year trip around the world!!!

I have a Solgaard carry-on, had been holding up well until one of the hinges snapped off in the middle of packing to leave! So...wonder how well and sturdy the hinges on these are?...

Seems like the aluminum one would be a target for thieves. It would be awful if it was stolen on your first trip. Is that covered under the lifetime warranty? Probably not. I saw May was able to sneak into the video in the background.
