Only the deluxe sample sized jar of La Mer is plastic. All the other sizes are opal-glass. The largest AB bottle is acrylic. But it's lighter and stronger than the glass he uses on the smaller sizes. So it doesn’t take as much c02 to ship, and its less likely to shatter if dropped. Oh hey, have you tried the Synactiff Creme by Cle de Peau? It's pretty friggin phenomenal.

I like Sisley moisturisers for day time. All Day All Year is a favourite but rose noir is delicious to use, so light and effective for summer days. Clarins is another brand I love to use, but for cleansers, toners and SPF. Loccitane isn't luxurious at all, but they have this amazing triple fase essence with Immortelle I just can't live without. It plumps my skin immediately. For night time I navigate between la mer and Auteur. Both great. The La mer packaging is an opaque glass, even the cute 15ml one. You have just the sample size of 5ml. I agree with you on the jar with lid x pump issue. Although I appreciate the effort of keeping products in old school packaging, I would love to always purchase moisturisers, serums, etc in pump jars, way more convenient and hygienic.

I love Tatcha Ageless Enriching Renewel Cream. I have tried many moisturizers, and I defiantly saw results. I am quite happy with all their products. Even if I had the money to buy the other brands you reviewed, I would never spend that kind of money on my face. I wound donate to charities. Enough about me.

that water moisturizer from Tata Harper was very notorious to me. It caused me severe allergic reaction for 1 week despite oral benadryl and topical hydrocortisone and topical benadryl. I suspect it was whatever fragrance molecule she adds to her products that was sensitizing. On the other hand, the original la mer creme has mineral oil which clogged my pores causing me to breakout a lot, plus the added fragrance molecules (e.g. geraniol, linalol, limonene) made the breakout worse. I wanted to try the gel form, if La Mer would remove the fragrance component. However, I just started using the new Augustinus Bader ultimate soothing cream which is fragrance free and mineral oil free. It's amazing as there is nothing of the common sensitizing agents to cause allergy or breakouts. Also it has nigella sativa as part of its antiinflammatory cocktail. How awesome is that?

I am almost halfway complete with the Ageless Enriching Renewal cream and I can live without it. It’s very hydrating but that’s all. I wasn’t too impressed with the cream considering the cost. I have the rich cream and by far that is the best cream I’ve tried. I saw results 2 days after using it.
