When you buy a luxury skincare product, you’re buying into the idea of luxury. Fragrance is apart of this, as most consumers makes connections between luxury and experience
@joannej_Youtube4 жыл бұрын
This is so true! I wasn't even able to use fragrance in a cleanser or makeup a few years ago, but now I can tolerate it in some products, as long as it's good quality and not too intense. I've even come to enjoy it, lol. Tatcha is a great example of a luxury brand that checks all the boxes, from packaging to user experience to results.

I've been an avid Tatcha user for the past 3 years and I can definitely agree that it's pricey, but so very worth it. My essence bottle actually lasted me a whole year of use and that to me makes the price a little more worth it since it lasts a very long time. I've used all of the moisturizers, but I have to say, my favorites are the dewy skin cream and the silk cream. The silk cream, in my opinion, is the star of the line up of moisturizers they have. I'm sensitive to fragrance, but none of the Tatcha moisturizers have given me any sort of reaction or flared my seborrheic dermatitis along my hairline. I also tried the first aid beauty repair cream and it burned my face, which was definitely alarming. But if I were to recommend anything from the brand, it would definitely be the kissu lip mask, the silk cream and violet-c radiance mask because they consistently repair my dead dry skin every week I use it lol.

I tried Tatcha for the first time two years ago and I’ve never looked back. I’m obsessed. Especially with the water cream. It’s amazing for my oily skin 😍 it absorbs so well. I’m concerned on the people you’re talking to 😂 water based moisturizers are meant for people with oily skin so if you don’t have oily skin then you probably shouldn’t use it.

I have oily skin and personally didn’t enjoy the water cream I just felt like it didn’t do enough and the smell in tatcha definitely broke me out I get it not everyone is the same but based on my experience just didn’t work well I would say the Bliss drench and quench is similar in concept to the water cream but does better at balancing in hydration for me and it does have some fragrance but it’s not overpowering for me Edit: I just noticed he had recommended another alternative but I have not used that one

While I never tried Tatcha but heard only gud things from 2 KZbinrs idk if it's worth that price and I just might ask my sister if it's worth the hype/ price since she uses it... A good sunscreen would either be the dear klairs soft UV filter sunscreen or the Purito centella unscented sunscreen. The Paulas Choice salicylic acid 2% exfoliant is good for acne prone skin. If your skin isn’t sensitive the the ordinary 20% aha 2% bha peeling solution might be good for you. The ingredients are amazing and my skin really loves it. Yes they are expensive but the essence has lasted me a year. The rice polish, using it a few times a week has lasted me over a year and I still have about half left. The indigo cream is the only thing I can use during the winter. I actually love the water cream for summer. And the dewy skin cream is my favorite. Every time I switch to something else I notice a difference in my skin right away. With that said I think the luminous deep hydration serum has alcohol in it and it’s high on the list, which is odd since it would do the opposite of hydration. The vitamin c was great too but with the aha in it it was too strong for me. Camellia cleansing oil is still the best oil cleanser Ive ever used but it is pricey.

i really love Hyram but I just watched James Welsh's video where he just learned that we as consumer can't always just judge the product from the ingredients.. I mean yes ingredients are important,, but the formulation is what will determined the greatness of the product.. For example like alcohol, if we were to put a simple alcohol on our face of course it would burn & dry it out,, but in skincare it could be used as penetrator & also stabiliser.. i highly recommend checking out James's recent video!

I LOVE TATCHA! Thank you for this review. I actually love the Water Cream. And I think I commented on your last Tatcha review video that the Water Cream works really really well with the Essence Water. I wear the water cream (on top of the Essence water) at night and when I wake up In the morning, my skin looks soooo youthful and plump (I’m in my late 40’s). I wear the Dewy Skin Cream on my neck. But I’m now intrigued with the Indigo Cream after your review!

I hv extremely sensitive, dry skin along with occasional eczema. The water cream cleared up all of my irritation and dry flaky skin. The hydration is perfect because when applied it is quite watery and it seeps into my skin. I'm sorry you didn't hv a good experience, but for me the moisturizer is quite hydrating and doesn't just sit on my skin like you mentioned it did for you :/ In my opinion it is worth the price point. I should try the Indigo Cream though!!

Agreed! I also have dry skin and to me the cream feels so silky and my skin just drinks it up. Its perfect for my skincare routine. I know Hyram has oily skin so that might be a factor here.

Yes this is also my experienced w the water cream. Its a perfect formula for hot humid weather country where the cream burst into water and my skin just drink it str8 away without stickiness etc and i can see drastic improvement on my skin such as brightness, supplecity, and i just Dont get it with people who demonized fragranced skincare like please its 2020. It is not everyone skin is same get easily irritate by fragranced especially when its in low amount within the formula. Ouhh I also have rovectin lotus water cream but for me tatcha water cream is the winner. The only down side its pricey.

Tatcha is the best product line I have ever used. I had a really bad breakout because my wax lady decided to wax my face... I believe it was a bacterial breakout. Tatcha completely cleared my skin and it’s absolutely beautiful now. Tatcha for life! My products last 3-4 months so I’m okay paying the price.

Tatcha will always be my boujee investment face care product line. I’ve never seen such immediate and obvious results from any skin care line within the same price point. It’s actually unbelievable. It’s not my regular cleanser because it does lightly exfoliate and I already have skin that’s on the dry side but on days I need a little resurfacing help it is straight to the rice powder for me❤

The Tatcha lip mask has become my favorite lip mask. I purchased it the moment it launched and I've been in love ever since. I have an OCD/anxiety habit that causes me to bite and peel my lips till they bleed and scab. But the Tatcha lip mask has made them feel so soft and plump. Ive actually started using it during the day also. And because so little is needed, that tiny jar REALLY lasts

This line actually got their debut on qvc several years ago before they went in to Sephora. They always showed how it was used on the Geishas for removing the heavy makeup and keeping their skin in good shape under all the makeup they had on for hours a day. This is where I first purchased the cleansing oil, and moisturizer. The oil is the only one I repurchased!

Personally, I think Tatcha is worth it. I have such dry skin easily irritated skin, and for a while last year in December I had the worst cystic acne, dry skin, and hyperpigmentation i’ve had in my entire life. But when i looked more into Tacha i decided to say fuck it and invest in their travel/ sample kit thats formulated for dry skin. and I saw improvements almost overnight. Within a month of using their product my skin was clear, hydrated, and even. Like i swore it was magic. Yeah it’s extremely pricy and there are so many other amazing skincare brands out there like Hyram said! But something about Tatcha keeps me coming back for more.

I love Tatcha, I've been using certain products for years. Fragrance in products doesn't bother me - I've been using skincare for 45 years and have never had a problem, if I do someday, then I will stop using fragrance. My favorite products from Tatcha - the Cleansing Oil, rice polish, Essence, Ageless Enriching Renewal Cream, Indigo Cream, Sunscreen, Dewey skin cream, Luminous Dewey Skin Mist, The Pearl Tinted Eye Treatment, Kissu Lip Mask. Yes, I am a fan. Take care, Ginny😘😘😘

hyram, if you're reading this, there's a couple things I want to say the first one is thank you for how much and how well you've taught people about skincare and how passionate youre about it second, say that your hair looks STUNING and you're incredibly beautiful in all the exhaustive meanings of the word and then, another thank you, bur for your mental health series this time. you have no idea of how much you've taught me an how grateful I am for how much you invest in people's wellbeing. I have yet to find another person who cares so much about others and wants to help them on their different juries as much as you. so for this and so much more THANK YOU, you are amazing. stay you 💖

I like how fast you talk :) a lot of information. I appreciate that. I enjoy using an essence during colder months and don’t feel the need to use them in the warmer months so that’s how I rationalize paying that kind of price and like you said most do have a higher cost. Thanks for the alternatives.

I completely agree with all of your reviews of Tatcha. A lot of the products have too much fragrance that I am sensitive to. However, I LOVE the cleansing oil and the gentle rice scrub. I even got my daughter to switch to these items from a brand she thought was great. I will try the indigo scrub next because of your review. I seldom purchase Tatcha through a big box store. I usually wait for a sale on their website or QVC where I can get two scrubs for the price of one. I was glad to see that you recommended the omega cream by biossance. I use that as needed instead of a scented cream. I find the essence was way too much $. I use Neogen essence instead and got better results. BTW I am 70 yrs old with super dry skin and I am taken for twenty years youger quite often. My daughter lives in a very dry climate and loves these products too. Keep up the good reviews!

Personally, the prices the "luxury" brands charge for skincare products is beyond incredulous, especially when South Korea brands are offering similar (or better) products at a far less price tag. For this reason, (and that most products are scented) I refuse to purchase any luxury skincare products. I found this vid really interesting, thank you💗
