Lance (Morris Chestnut from Boyz n the Hood and The Perfect Guy) is still heated over the anger he has at Harper (Taye Diggs from Brown Sugar), when Mia (Monica Calhoun) challenges him to acknowledge the truth. She is to blame equally with Harper for the longtime feud between the two men by virtue of her having been in full knowledge of the pain her affair with Harper would incur on Lance. Mia then takes off her wig, forcing Lance to also acknowledge the severity of her condition.

Mia Sullivan (Monica Calhoun), wife of Lance Sullivan (Morris Chestnut from Boyz n the Hood and The Perfect Guy), has sent letters requesting that the old college gang joins them for Christmas: Harper Stewart (Taye Diggs from Brown Sugar) and his almost-ready pregnant wife Robyn (Sanaa Lathan from Contagion and Something New), Julian "Murch" Murchison (Harold Perrineau from The Matrix and Smoke) and wife Candace Sparks (Regina Hall from Support the Girls and Little), her best friend Jordan Armstrong (Nia Long from Boyz n the Hood and The Best Man) and boyfriend Brian McDonald (Eddie Cibrian), Quentin "Q" Spivey (Terrence Howard from Hustle & Flow and Empire), and Shelby Taylor (Melissa De Sousa). Nearly 15 years after they were last together as a group, they finally reunite over the Christmas holidays. All the friends arrive at the house, the first time they've come together in all those years. At dinner times in the movie the old friends catch up but old tensions resurface and grow. Though much has changed in their lives, the friends discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and passionate romances to be reignited.

he knew, but he lied to himself about how angry he was at her bc he knew the pain would be unbearable-not only did your best friend/best man betray you, but so did the love of your life. this movie kind of reminds me of real life & how people are so easy to “forgive” their partners for their wrongdoings, but they are quick to drop their friends as if they meant nothing at all. in my eyes (although he deserved it..sorry not sorry lol), he should’ve dropped them both after he found that out, but i understand why he didn’t. yeah of course he loved Mia, but part of him probably felt he deserved it. after all is said and done (no pun intended), I love how she owned up to what she did, she told him he needed to forgive, and she made him realize that he did need Harper…ESPECIALLY after she’s gone. (sorry for my rant lol)

None of them were victims. Harper and Mia were friends. Harper and Lance were best friends. Lance met Mia thru Harper. Everyone knew Lance was a player but Mia took a chance on Lance and he cheated on her MULTIPLE times. To get back at Lance, Mia seduced Harper. And Harper thinking with his little head had sex with Mia and convinced himself he slept with Mia because he felt guilt for introducing her to Lance. Everyone played a part.
