When my Wife and I first got together she was a manager at a McDonalds and when the McRib was in season she would always bring me home a couple whenever she could. They were always the best ones and haven't tasted the same since shes moved on to a different job and other people make it. I think she put extra sauce on them for me.

Took me a while to figure out how to get hamburgers to taste like mcdonalds, and adding minor brand beef base to the ground hamburger meat before making your patties is the trick. Then salt and put a weight on the burgers while they cook. I assume the beef flavoring would hide a lot of off tastes. I hear they also add a oil soluble beef flavoring to the fryer oil... No idea what that would be.

I was told by my store manager when I used to work at a McD's that they produce the mcrib when pork is cheapest, and distribution relies on that procurement from the swine mines. She might have been right, who knows, but around where I am it comes inconsistently. Great review as always!
