This is a great tip. Another that I like to do is put it in different chords mode and then use the ARP function to have it play out the single notes in time, then rearrange or stack accordingly. Basically the same thing but just spaces the notes out a little which helps me hear what a single note sounds like so that when I want to bring in a bass or accentuating instrument, I know where my safe notes are that I can add later without wondering if it’s going to clash with what I have. @@soniksource wouldn't say perfect. They are still lacking in functionality when it comes to full DAW capabilities. That's why I dont mix or record artist inside the mpc. I use my DAW for that.

I use my own 808 samples with any vst that allows using your own samples. Then pad perform mode is available. Look at my Q AND A Videos. I answer this specific question 👍🏾

The mpc takes wav files mp3 files etc. As long as the files match that you can drag whatever you want inside the mpc software

@@poeticgeenetikstv4672 just drag and drop the Midi file onto the track. The midi import feature is a little funny. It will make different sequences for each midi file so be aware of that. There are 4 slots for plugins on each program. If you need more then I have a video on a work around for it. Just search my name and how to get more than 4 plugins on mpc tracks. 👍🏾

Your mpc one has fixed on board memory. It can not be upgraded. You are only able to purchase more storage space.
