I've got a bunch of metagross teammates today. As supporter enjoyer, even with fast movement they're not too erratic to grasp with. My clefable can catch them up for heal, and eldegoss got 21 assists for stun and hunt gameplay (tornado+spore). Definitely not broken but still competitive, and easy to support from behind.

Magnet rise needs to either have its speed put back pre nerf or give it hindrance resistance. And ppl the speed of Magnet rise wasn't the problem, it was gyro balls dmg and that has already been nerf. Also, Magnet's rise duration was nerf also, so if u are worried about being chased constantly, that issue has already been addressed.

Love that all of Metagross builds are good, and it's the same item set on each so it's easy to pick which build to go depending on the team. Close range enemy = Gyro. More squishy backline = Meteor. Wish the Unite wasn't easily interrupted or you could choose not to make the wall.

Have you tried scope lens with meteor mash? The main pop of damage is technically a basic attack that can crit and with scope lens you can get really satisfying late game crits. Probably not the ideal way to play, but it’s fun.

I'm not surprised that this is the better build, but I find i have so much more success on zen headbutt meteor mash. In fact I haven't won on gyro ball magnet rise, but that's probably a combination of lack of use and playing against worse matchups . Granted, I'm still just 1300, but I find the meteor mash zen headbutt build way more fun

Metagross definitely is better than people think but definitely has issues when it comes to CC. Both movesets are actually great which is something that you never see that often.
