I showed this song to my non-metalhead friend a while ago and he said it sounds like a preteen heard someone do death metal vocals exactly once and then immediately went to a microphone and tried to replicate what he heard

I remember when this album came out and I touted it on my radio show without listening to it. I now regret that.

I think that it is really hard to believe that same vocalist did vocals for Cannibal Corpse back in the day. Lyrics first logo and lot of others stuff. And I think he still holds grudge.
@huggniceman49756 ай бұрын
He definitely still holds a grudge, he's a jealous manbaby. No coincidence that Corpsegrinder was on a podcast that he said made him "physically ill" (okay there, champ) and that death metal sucks now. If he could do vocals and write decent lyrics, he might not have gotten the boot from Cannibal Corpse.

I see a lot of potential in 6FU but I think those high pitched squeals are the only thing Barnes can do now after melting his vocal chords on the first 3 cc albums

For reasons obscure I ordered a copy not long after it came out and it was every bit as disappointing as expected... and yet there are momments I find oddly satisfying. This entire song actually. Vocals aside you have to remember that SFU was founded on the concept of less-is-more. All the riffs on Haunted and Warpath are super easy but if you play them WELL they actually sound killer. R.I.P.
