I am looking for a small travel tripod which i can just stick in my bag what out 'n about. This is a very popular tripod, but the MT-44 which looks to be much better is actually cheaper .. I'm just wondering why. Is there something about it that I am not seeing

GoPro case, I'm assuming? Sorry, but I'm not sure. I usually travel with my GoPro just thrown in my suitcase or camera bag. The tripod is pretty small though, so... maybe?

Hi Zachary. Thanks for this overview of the MT-16. I'm having second thoughts whether I would get this or the MT-08 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXe3i5iHaJephM0) or even the MT-09 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mouno2pnbL-MnKM). But what I'm going to use it for is solely getting family & travel footages. Vlogging, not that much. Plus I want it compact and requiring minimal maintenance especially when walking into dusty/sandy-environments wherein if these penetrate into those small openings, it may damage the MT-16/MT-08 over time even if it's rinsed after exposure. Maybe you took it to the beach with sand being blown everywhere by the wind? How did it held up? Thank you.

You're welcome and thank you for stopping by the channel! As for the Tripods... these are definitely on the BUDGET end so I'm not sure how well they're going to hold up to a rough environment with a lot of sand (the killer of tripods). That being said, the model displayed in the video has worked as expected for my GoPro and smartphone. I still wouldn't recommend it for anything heavier than those items. It's super light and super affordable which is why I love it. If it gets beat up or breaks its cheap enough to replace with a 2nd or 3rd one. Hell, you could by 5 of them for around $100 USD 💰. @@ZacharyEldridge I get your point. Then perhaps the MT-09 would be the best option whenever you'll use a GoPro on beaches and other sandy environments ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/mouno2pnbL-MnKM ) as it's easier to rinse and without a tripod ballhead where sand may slip in underneath. Thanks.
