Just to clarify, the FJD V mount is around $180-200, but there is currently a $30 coupon on amazon at the time of this videos release!

Oh, it is so rare and so good to see this kind of battery round up because most reviewers only discuss 1 and don't compare it with anything else. Thanks Thomas for this very useful guide!

This is probably the best vmount battery video I've seen. The andycine checks out all the boxes for me and I've been looking for a smaller vmount plate so that nitze is perfect. Thanks man!

You’re welcome! I think it’s 99% perfect, just wish it had usb c charging like the other one

Wasn't expecting a fellow Northern Irish voice on my KZbin rabbit hole today! Well done buddy, great info and channel! Quick question, my 60w lights can allow Sony NP-F batteries, but now I'm considering just using V-Mount and a cable. My electronics knowledge is poor, but when I grabbed the DC power adapter the light came with, the brick says on it Output: 15V 4000mAh. Does this mean, the DC output of this Andycine battery doesn't go high enough?

Nice man! Im worried I’m losing it as I’ve been gone for 6 years now lol. But yeah, I’m not certain about that, If it’s the amaran 60w I use v mounts and use a d-tap to dc and it works just fine. But! My sister is a wedding videographer over in Northern Ireland and one thing she found is that it’s really hard to get V Mounts over there, Amazon won’t ship them there. Something to do with importing that style of battery. The other thing is that there’s been some really great v mounts released in the last couple months, I’m putting together a round up of the best ones and should have that video up in the next couple days

@@thomasjmcclure No way. Jo Knight? Just dawned on my her maiden name was McClure! I do wedding video also! So my lights are unheard of, but met my needs better than others. They are Bresser sp-60. Fresnel - I like the control over the beam angle, and a lot of other lights are too narrow with the reflector dish on, and too wide with the bare chip. Just my opinion. But yea, I'm down a worm hole today trying to solve some annoyances ahead of new season. My lights, were being powered by Sony NP-F and sometimes they would just randomly cut off right in the middle of stuff. And not necessarily because they were dead. So I'm left wondering if they are just struggling to provide what the lights are drawing. Even when they do survive, at 60% I get about 45mins, which for some wedding dance floors, just isn't long enough. So I looked at V-mount with DC output, but I'm seeing the light wants 15V. Might just try some other NP-F batteries too that have better numbers. Though, that's part of the problem - I don't really understand Voltage versus mAh versus Wh etc and what the relevance is!

@@clivemclaughlin3920 haha yeah! small world, shes annoyingly good at what she does, she got me into videography. id give dtap a go to be honest, most DC ports only do 12v as far as I'm aware. but like yourself, most of that stuff is out of my wheelhouse, but I know your more likely to damage your light with overvoltage rather than under. probably a gerald undone question

If not usb c, how does the Andycine charge?
@thomasjmcclure11 ай бұрын
You’d need to pick up a d-tap charging cable, or a v mount charging block. But they’re a lot more expensive than the cable

can not get usb c output, really frustrating
