My first car was a Mini Cooper 1275 after 3 weeks in Australia in 1974, later it was a Lotus Europa in 1976, now in 2023 I have to admit this two cars had the best polar moment of inertia (excellent cornering) of ALL the cars I owned ever since.(including 3 FiatsX 1/9)

@EveryThingCars53 From what I remember 1st with no synchromesh was a case of wiggle wiggle slot it in. My examiner was a very big bloke who I used to have to ask him to move his leg off the gearstick to change gear :-)

I do love the looks of the Renault 5 but the Mini just beats it, so Mini wins. If someone hates a Mini, there is something wrong with them.
