These turned out great! I just used one strand but it still turned out pretty thick

Oh that's great! I hope you get a lot of use out of them. 😊

I like the double strand idea - especially if they are of different colors. Plus it just makes them that much thicker-er! 🙂

I used 2 variegated yarns but one shade different. I used Lily Sugar and Cream from Joanns in Kelp and the one darker. ( it’s covered up). The teal, greens, turquoise and shades of tan….gorgeous 💕

I absolutely love this pattern. It’s the easiest one I found to do a potholder with. I need a larger one. Do you think I could crochet 50 for my starting chain?
@JewelsandJones8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, I think that would work out. I just made another potholder pattern that has three different sizes. Here's the link to the free pattern: jewelsandjones.com/boho-crochet-coasters-free-crochet-pattern/

Love this pot holder. I was wondering if I could insert a piece of "filler" inside before sewing it closed to make it more absorbent/thicker? Maybe thick felt?
@JewelsandJones Жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you so much! Yes, that could definitely work. I personally haven't tried it, but I think it should work. I would just make sure that the filler is heat resistant. 😊

I'd like to make a slightly smaller one, can I lessen the number of the original chain stitches?
@JewelsandJones Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can make it smaller by just adjusting the foundation row.

I’m looking for the one you cross stitch a tree on. I’ve lost it.

Hi there, I don't yet have a tutorial for the Christmas tree. The video tutorial was to help create the potholder pattern. All make sure to add it to my list thought of ones to create in the future.

I came upon this video, recently and I am quite a ways into the project and I realized that I wasn’t crocheting in the back bump. If I have to rip it out, it’s going to be really annoying. It’s looking good, but the potholder is going to be enormous will that make a difference lol

Hi there, that's totally ok. So instead of getting a ridge affect, it'll look the way its suppose to when you're working in both loops. It should not affect the pattern at all. So no need to rip it out. 😊

I have been making these kind of potholders for years and you don't really have to hold two strands together one strand is plenty because it's double thick I haven't had an issue and neither has anyone else
@JewelsandJones2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip! All have to try it with one strand next time.
