I thought it looked liked Mosport but i didn't get the name when i saw Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. This track always has been one of my favo tracks in GPL and some other sims.

I was addicted to this track all the way back with GTL. Didn't look this good, though, but still flowed like a dream, especially in 1967 f1 cars.

@@brett22bt I remember it also from an early 70's F1 mod in rfactor. It does have a nice flow to it i agree. I didn't recognize the name from the movie. I never knew what Mosport meant. For me it could've been anything, from mos-port, to mo-sport, mospor (french pronunciation with a silent T at the end). After 20+ years i learn it is a short for motorsport.

The iR18 perfectly illustrates why I continue to endure the pain to play rfactor2. This car on road courses, is fantastic. On ovals, it will make you pull your hair out in typical rf2 fashion 🤣

In iracing on “open” oval races too be fast you have to be an engineer to set it up and even then it’s easy to lose it in traffic with dirty air while tweaking on the weight jacker

@@Jt7166 the ir18 in iracing is the best car on iracing. It has good yaw and you can take it to the edge without the typical iracing lazy spin. I’m watching this car here and the new UI with RF2. I tried RF2 a while back but tje Ui was so bad I said nope. Maybe it’s time to revisit.

Took me a while but rf2 has definitely become my main sim game after the UI updates and such. The physics to me are just next level driving satisfaction

I love RF2. It feels so car-like to me vs ACC. However, I do a lot of racing against the AI and have noticed that they really do have a pace advantage. In the Class One M4, they just walk away from me on the straights. In the GT3's it seems a bit closer.

my favourite track in canada, the lay out has not changes since it opened, major updates have been made to improve the main facility and pit area, iv been going to this track to watch bike and car racing since 1997

Wish we could race these cars without the aeroscreen in simulators. The Dallara IR18 was such a beauty without it.

Agreed- they should always at least allow you to remove the center pillar. On a 2D screen it's arguably even less realistic to force it on for the user.

Great mod for CTMP a criminally overlooked track by devs. The only versions that are not mods are iRacing (a hundred year old version - wake up iRacing!) and, ahem...NASCAR (not accurate, physics are awful). I've got a thousand versions of Laguna Seca though thank God! 🤔

Love this Mike! 2 things though. How does this car compare to iRacing and the Formula NA? I’m wanting to do a custom championship with IndyCar and have been waiting for this car before starting. Also I’ve only seen 1 race at Mosport and it was amazing. I have no idea why I don’t race this track, I need to get on that for sure. It looks so fluid, like a Canadian Mid Ohio. Which I love! I’ve got to consider my options but thanks for showcasing this new car in such an entertaining way!

The IR18 is indeed extremely fun on road courses, but very demanding too. They will try to kill you if your inputs are not very precise. Not as wild as the Formula Pro, but thereabouts.

Not to be "that guy", but is your steering ratio off by a bit? It looks like you're getting significantly more in-game rotation relative to your IRL wheel. It's probably making it more difficult (which must only be a testament to your driving prowess).

You get a 150 seconds per race. You manually push a button to activate and then press again to deactivate. So relatively accurate

Gotcha. Push to pass on mine works by holding the button only. Is there a setting to activate by a press and turn off by another press? I know it's a hold irl, but might be easier like drs

For some reason RF2 does not show any mods when i install them. Unfortunately i have not found a solution yet. I've tried several mods via the workshop but nothing seems to work, only the default game. Nice race there man.

Your steering ratio looks off. When your wheel is game is at 90 degrees, your hands are only at about 75 or so. Maybe a 900 vs 1080 degree thing.
