Since your last video went out I've been very ill. I went to see my Doctor and he said "what are your symptoms?". I said "Doc, I keep waking up in the middle of the night dreaming about cleco pins, mig welding, bungee cords, a pretty blonde Australian girl in overalls and a strange man in a red bikini! “ The Doctor was bemused at first but promised to ring around his colleagues across the UK to see if anyone had ever heard of this... He called me back yesterday and told me that in the last fortnight there had been an outbreak of hundreds of similar cases across the world! To say I was relived was an understatement... I asked if he could give me something for it? He replied "The antidote will be available on 3rd August and you will be fine within 30 minutes" He was so right, I'm feeling better already 😊 Welcome back guys, you really have been missed xx .

You might think about air con. The TD Pinzgauers get quite hot inside after an hour driving. The whole air tunnel and engine cover get about 45°C.

Not watched whole vid yet, but the pipe bender can be modified to make it easier to operate - Jess - using a 75mm x 6mm tube make a base to bolt to the deck and a suitable pad on top and have the bender at 90 deg to what it is now, that way you can put a pole extension on and let physics do the work! Did make one years ago but it's now lost, I look for photos. John you got the knowledge to do this!! Up there for thinking and down there for dancing!!!

Hi, guys. You have to do something regarding the weight from your roof rack. The section above the driver is a bit a weak spot. In only very rare ocasions were Pinzgauer factory fitted with roof racks in the front. Look up the New Zealand Army ambulances. You probably have to get a strut from the rack down to the 2 screws below the windshield.

Make a photo copy or 2 or 3 (so you have spares) of the tax disc to go in the windscreen Or ask Jess to do it cos she seems to be getting better than you in all aspects around the workshop hahaha. Frame the original with a photo of the vehicle in her fire truck days and hang it in pride of place inside the living area.

Hi True blue travellers , I bought the fridge you featured with your discount code , they have a supply problem with the optional batteries but are keeping me up to date with a delivery date .the fridge has Bluetooth app so you can monitor and adjust it from the campfire ! This fridge took 4 days of chilled food held it at 4 degrees all weekend during a recent trip . I precool it at home , load it with food from the supermarket . When I get to my campsite I run the fridge through a small power pack plugged it into a solar panel so it tops up the power pack during the day and the fridge runs all night . I will let you know once the battery turns up and I will test the fridge as you can plug it into the solar panel direct . Brilliant bit of kit for the camper ! Loving the channel , Thanks guys !

As a firefighter I love that you’ve kept the shutter doors! I definitely think the cap badge needs to go on the steering wheel. Have you thought of painting the roof red instead of black? I think it may look better!!

I nearly billed you two for a new laptop! When Jon came out dressed as Olive, I'd just taken a mouthful of coffee which ended up spraying across the room as I started laughing! Brilliant video as usual and I love the way the build looks. As a bit of (maybe) useful information; the shutters where made by a company called JR Industries and the slats are a special size (47.5 mm if I remember correctly). As far as the badge goes, could you not see if you could get a Firemans helmet and make like a centre piece with it and the badge?

I think you should keep the roof silver as it contrasts nicely with the black and red, maybe the same colour as the rollers

Actually, looking at the thumbnail I agree with you. Big Red might look a bit sandwiched between the black. Whereas the silver would be almost invisible against the sky, keeping Big Red looking smaller in height. Until that is, the roof rack is filled and the roof popped open. Then the silver may jar somewhat, especially considering the infill fabric colour on show when the roof is open. 🤔 Difficult choice.

We did think about keeping it silver so it would look more like it did as a truck but the place that coated the shutters couldn’t fit the roof so would be really hard to get it to match, it also needs sealing round the edges which will look a bit of a disaster in black and getting that to colour match silver would be hard work too so it’s going to be black. Hopefully will look ok 🤞
