totally agree. I really like that he has his guests interacting, to the point where he oft-times simply just lets them talk amongst themselves. I've always missed that on the more familiar "talk shows" where the host talks for 5 minutes with the first guest, then pushes that guest down the sofa to make room for 5 minutes with the next guest, and so on ... totally boring, and also somewhat RUDE!
@THEchiQ3 жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that he has his own NZ wine label, and there’s always buckets of the stuff for guests. They hang out together and get a bit tiddly and relaxed, then he brings them out and they all have fun together. Sounds amazing. His dinner parties must rock.

I've always loved the mandola and mandolin. The sound they produce is so...pure (not really the word I'm looking for) that you don't even have to know how to play it. Obviously if you wand specific tunes, and all, but you can improvise a really lovely melody. I was at a Renaissance Faire and a minstrel let me play his. I told him I didn't know how to play, and he just said not to play it, but to explore it. Like thirty different people thought I was trained. I still can't really play the guitar, but I can fool Faire patrons into thinking I was the minstrel, while he went to take a break. Absolutely love that instrument.
