It was about a month ago that we did a review of what we termed the ‘best products of 2022’. There were about a dozen products in that review, and at that time we said we would do another dozen pieces in a few weeks’ time. Well, we’ve been a bit busy as of late and, frustratingly, some people have wanted holidays and time off, so we’re a little bit later with Part 2 then we had envisaged, for which I apologise. But the job is now done, and so here’s the second half of the review.
Now when people do reviews like this, they always claim somewhat portentously that they’re reviewing the best products on the market, as though they are ‘Which’ magazine or some other such independent body. But of course the truth is that reviews like ours are merely highlighting our favourite products from the brands we deal with. But, in our case, there is a bit of a difference.
Many retailers out there end up selling the products that their distributors oblige them to sell. These retailers don’t pay for these products until they sell them, but these ‘stocking plans’, as they are known, put the distributors, and not the retailers, in the driving seat as far as product selection is concerned. At Motolegends, we only sell the products we like. We are not interested in being told what the best sellers are. If we like something we will not offer it, even if other retailers don’t.
The truth is that we are in the fortunate position to be able to offer our customers pretty much anything that is brought into the UK. Perhaps because of our marketing, most brands are keen to work with us. There are some brands we simply won’t touch, for a whole host of reasons. And there are some brands from which we might just cherry-pick a handful of lines. Occasionally, that might mean just one item. And so whilst this video is unashamedly little more than a review of our favourite products, you can have faith that some of these items are, indeed, some of the very best out there.

Would you post links to the products in the description please? And while I’m being ungrateful and picky, how about chapter markers in the timeline for these longer, multi product vids? 😉

Normally I only post on KZbin videos to point out the idiocy of someone's comment... I've made an exception in this case - you've made two very fair requests 👍🏻 have a like.

Great review, does the goose down jacket still work as designed under a protective jacket as the down jacket will be squached underneath?
@Motolegends
@Motolegends Жыл бұрын
Don’t squash it too tight, as you need air in it to hold the heat, but you can still compress a down jacket quite a bit without affecting its effectiveness. CP.

I drive since 40 years and 10 years ago I needed a new pair DAYTONA Roadstar boots. German engineering and quality as it´s best. What we don´t have are this nice vest´s and cap´s Chris is wearing. Would you tell me where to buy in UK? Thanks a lot and go on like this.

@@Motolegends Wow. Thanks for reaching out. 👍 My issue with mens pants in general is that I have muscular thighs and it seems most manufacturers focus on skinny legs even with larger waist sizes. Also, I have a short inseam, which is also not popular with designers. While shortening an inseam is doable, there's no adding fabric to the thigh-section of a pant. 😄 I'm afraid to buy anything without trying it on first. As I'm across the pond, I won't be making a trip to your wonderful shop. I love what y'all do there. I consume a lot of motorcycle content and your videos are among the best; educational and entertaining.

Unfortunately, we don’t sell the kind of products you are referring to. It’s horses for courses, I suppose. We have set out our stall to offer the best products the market has to offer. Obviously, these products often tend to be a bit more expensive. CP

50% better than leather? That's a bold statement.
@Motolegends
@Motolegends Жыл бұрын
On the Cambridge test for abrasion resistance, leather will last about four seconds before wearing through. These jeans have a ‘slide time’ well in excess of six seconds. So not a bold statement as much as one of record. CP

Ordered a pair of rokker jeans from your shop in the flash sale, got an email confirming my order & the money went out of my account. Couple of days later I got another email saying that they you had cancelled my order because you had oversold the amount of jeans you had (Oh the irony). It took another few days for my money to come back. I wouldn't use your company again, you clearly value money more than customer service. A decent company would have sent the jeans out & took the small possible loss to retain a customer. I find legend an overused term these days!
@emromw
@emromw Жыл бұрын
How are the supposed to send a pair of jeans out they never had on the first place? Logistics are difficult, especially for such a small company. They aren’t Amazon, don’t expect these things to never happen to them.
@ThatRandomGuy20

It's such a shame you won't give them another go. This company has been exceptional in my experience both in-store and online. I trust their advice and even drove 300 miles round trip for their specialist customer service when buying my latest suit.

Don’t be a plonker! In our email bulletin, we did explain that we could occasionally oversell, and unfortunately this is what happened to you. Can’t see how we could have sent out the jean we had sold out of, even if it meant taking a loss! You need to get some perspective. It’s a shame you missed out, but really is there a need to make such a fuss about it? With people all around the world suffering in so many different and horrible ways, not getting pair of jeans cheap in a Sale hardly ranks as something one should become aerated about. CP
