Will check out the small monitors cuz under my bunk bed is not much space on my desk lmao didnt know there was a market for this so thanks! Mx ergo seems cool but what about the mx vertical? Edit: Got myself the Ergo and dropped the vertical completely. Bought it used, works perfectly fine and admittetly felt weird at first. But now its completely normal to me using it for everything besides gaming. Took a few days to get into the flow of using it though but its so much more comfy
@DNKI2 жыл бұрын
Great question! I think the MX Vertical serves a similar need, but it's not for me. Routinely, I get tennis elbow like once or twice a year, so having a mouse that lets my arm and wrist be stationary is important. The Vertical is really cool and I want to get one in to try, but practically it sits between why I like the Ergo and a traditional mouse for gaming... and I don't need three mice on my desk.

No they purposely made them not fold as they considered it a weak point and not a feature they needed when use in a studio same reason it has a straight cable that is only quarter inch these are purely optimized for their industry purpose and that's what they were designed for

i've used the Logitech MX Ergo for a few years now & it's great! Ofcourse i've used other trackballs previously , so i was use to trackball gaming. The best part of the logitech wireless is that my Wave2.4 keyboard also connects with the same USB receiver. So 1 usb port - 2 devices! I had replaced my keyboard this year and bought the same one (it lasted 7 years!) and got another USB receiver. So i plugged my 2nd receiver into my laptop and press the 2nd device button on my ergo mouse and i can swap my mouse to work between my pc & laptop :) it's pretty cool :)

Ken please don't take my criticism the wrong way but you just took five great video ideas and made it out into one okay video. The passion for the headphones is obvious, so just do a 10 minute video on them. Give us the "weeb" back story. Or just cut these up into YT Shorts and Tik Toks. You're on the right track but don't sell the audience short. I'd watch a 10 minute Ken rant on a small odd monitor that you turned into your Reddit / Instagram feed or whatever.

I appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback! Only 4 videos in, my main goal with this video was to test the waters to see what people would be interested in. Since I'm a one man band, chasing leads are my main goal and I was pleasantly surprised people liked the headphone segment. There's a lot of takeaways I have from this video and ideas I want to execute moving forward.

I appreciate the trackball I recently started going into a dangerous area though as I found custom trackballs are now a thing Also I thought you had a pair of M1ST's huge improvement with yaxi pads for me literally wear them four hours a day or more.
@DNKI2 жыл бұрын
I have the M1ST as well, but I only like those for live audio monitoring while filming. They're not as fun to listen to for leisure, so I tend to take them out less. I toyed around with the thought of Yaxi pads, but I don't want to color the sound - even with their most neutral ones. I'm a stubborn purist haha
@profosist2 жыл бұрын
@@DNKI in the case of the M1ST I had to swap them as I guess I have bigger ears that the demographic they were designed for and even an hour rubbed my ears raw even if I placed them just right. With the yaxi pads I can just toss them on and it does a better job of cupping my ears and I now use them for 4+ hours a day. Personally I really like the improvements over the older design. You can see where they didn't want to stray too far as it wouldn't be accepted but everything has been improved in some way. I have a pair of 7520's as well and can see why they never bothered releasing them in Japan. The purest angle is a legit one. What funny is I've now see it least two artists I listen to tweeting about adding yaxi pads to their CD900ST's, one I remember was from Galneryus.

I got two thumb operated trackball mice. One is MX Ergo and one is from Sanwa. I'd say neither is perfect but they do have their own advantage. MX Ergo obviously has Logitech Unify receiver support, which is great for reducing receiver count and improve connection quality, at the cost of, well, you might accidentally plug in the wrong receiver. Other than that, with driver installed you can reassign button behaviors, which is great for non-hardcore gamers that don't need the two additional mouse buttons. Downside though, its DPI is rather low, which might bring more stress to the thumb especially when gaming, and for being an MX product, it has no frictionless scroll wheel, which, although somewhat "fixable" by using the ball as the scroll wheel, is still a minor inconvenience. Also it's won't function as well without a driver, as the DPI would just become a joke if you want to get any accuracy. The Sanwa one I got (forgot the model number, but maybe check for their most expensive ones if there's multiple) has a much higher DPI setting, doesn't need (and doesn't have) a driver to use it prperly, and is a lot more clicky. It's much more ideal for doing just anything with less thumb strain, all be it has a higher learning curve and the ball isn't as smooth (from my experience). Downside is, its wireless reciever isn't as reliable as Logitech ones, no reassign means it's likely the two additional buttons are wasted in most applications. And for having relative nice feeling buttons, the two main ones feel suboptimal. In fact, probably due to the fact of weird Japanese engineering, IMO the nice feeling button on the whole mouse is the DPI switch, which you probably rarely clicks. No tilt adjustment is also a downside, but giving that you rarely put any stress on the wrist to begin with, that probably won't matter much. And the last thing to say is, thumb operated trackball mice is well capable for gaming, and in fact it might be more optimal for most people as moving the wrist isn't as easy as moving the thumb.

I have been using Logitech trackball since very first years of 2000, roughly 20+ years already. MX Ergo is 3rd version I have used, I still have - and it is working - old Trackball with 6ft USB wire... Second one is wireless version of that 20+ years old trackball... Fun thing with the trackball - every time someone who isn't familiar with trackball or know that I use one tries to use computer - they try to move Trackball like a mouse and start cursing how "sticky" it is to move - and why it doesn't move cursor... :D

@@AriaOnEdge it's as I mentioned in the video, basically it sounds well balanced. There's nice bass that doesn't over power, paired with amazing treble. Vocals are an absolute dream. The feature of being able to scroll to the side when code is long is just perfect), since then for my own personal use at home i bought the mx master 3 which is the newest one in the logi series.
