Spray and Comet Falls are the most spectacular falls in Mount Rainier National Park. When you turned around and went over to Nachees Loop Trail which includes the log bridge across the road with The Mount Rainier a Sign. This trail gives you fantastic views of Mount Rainier also Tipsoo Lake is just down the street and one of the best places in all of the park to see fields of flowers in early Summer.

So glad you got to see the mountain and flowers at Paradise! It's sad that you missed Sunrise, which is beautiful also, but Paradise is the more beautiful of the two. About a decade ago, we drove up to Sunrise, and we took turns coasting on our bikes back down the road. It was epic, a truly unforgettable experience!

Glad you finally got some clear views and epic pics! Is definitely going on 'the list'. ❤ The scenery was fabulous and I love marmots and ground squirrels. 🎉💕 -Troy & Aimee

Hi you two! Many, many thanks again for taking us to Mt. Ranier N.P! Even though you had to wait for the fog to clear, wasn’t Mt. Ranier absolutely magnificent? I’ve been lucky to visit twice, but the first time when I was a child, it was SOOOOO foggy throughout the entire park, we couldn’t see much of anything. Plus, it was extremely cold, too. Second time, I was able to experience Ranier’s beauty fully, with a crystal clear day. I’m surprised the ranger said the only difference between a Chipmunk and a Golden Mantle ground squirrel was the white eye ring…Chipmunks are actually smaller in size and have a pointier shaped face and head! You have been so lucky with your National Parks tours, with the ability to actually stay in the parks and have pretty good weather too. You’ve made Mt. Ranier even MORE beautiful with your ever-professional videography. We always look forward to your weekly Sunday posts not only for your travels, but for your happy smiling faces…just makes our day! Love Ya, Virginia

We chuclkled while watching this, we were there Thursday and Friday at the same time and never saw Rainier or Mt. St. Helen either. We should have stuck around a day too!

30 years ago, when we moved to Seattle, I worked with a nurse who would stay at Paradise Inn every Christmas. Back then, there were no cell phones, let alone wifi and internet. They came to unplug for a week, from the television.

I was there May 2021, bright spring day, heavy snow melt, hike to the John Muir camp, just below the summit. Beautiful park. Yes, I studied the wonderland trail. I added it to my bucket list.

Howard, get yourself a hose clamp to go around your water bandit. That way you can tighten it to fit any size water spigot. Great Video

I remember Rainier well. In 1973 (50 years ago) I climbed to the top of Rainier with the help of guides from Paradise. There was a lot more snow in those days, but we climbed in June. On the way to Olympic, if you can walk out on Dungeness Spit. BTW we are planning to take our Navion to Baja this January. We are referencing you guys and EatSeeRV for ideas. Thanks for that. Cheer and best wishes,

Oh my - your dinner at The Inn - wow! Trying to see the top of Rainer reminds me of trying to see the top of Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica. Pure luck & persistence !
@MsSunstoned Жыл бұрын
They told us we'd never see the volcano Arenal in Costa Rica but that just wasn't so. We were there for weeks and saw the volcano most days. Good luck. Love this one too.

I can't believe how well documented and produced your videos are. I'm planning a cross country road trip this year in a minivan camper I'll be converting and living in full time. From Florida, to Maine, then ending in Washington to visit Ranier+Cascades+Olympic National Parks (Plus several others along the way) before the Fall weather starts closing things. You're videos give me such a great overview of the parks I plan to visit on my route, in such an entertaining and aesthetic video format

I love all the waterfalls! I am so glad you saw the top of Mt Rainier. Your video was gorgeous. I love all the wildlife. We stayed at the hotel where all the hikers go up to the summit a few years ago. It was beautiful. Was that Paradise Inn? I forgot the name.

First off, I love your channel. Can’t wait to be a full timer someday. 2 questions for ya. Do you ever run into issues at campgrounds while leaving your dogs for the day? I know you’re usually on hook ups or have the auto start generator, but most of the campgrounds by me don’t allow you to leave your pets. Also, what happened to the Winni Vista?
@toddramsay977 Жыл бұрын
I have used a water bandit. I also put a hose clamp on it (like a radiator hose clamp), and tighten it down on the pipe. You don’t get near as wet! LOL! Just sayin’ Great video series!

Another well made video. Your videos are always informative and full of useful tips. I watch many of the travel channels and a lot of them are just full of dramas or commercials. Now, I try to avoid those videos.

It is always best to go up to Paradise or Sunrise early in the morning. Skip all the roadside attractions on the way up. See them on the way back and the parking lots will have more spaces open.
@lets.go.places2gether7 ай бұрын
True! It is enticing to stop at those side attractions at first but Paradise does fill up quickly. 2nd time we went to Paradise early enough that on the way back from hiking around after noonish the the parking lot at Paradise Visitor center was packed. We are going back there in August so hopefully not so back like last few times went due to the ticketing system.

At 2:34- “Howard just filled the fresh water. Amazing.” What is amazing about that?
@NewstateNomads5 ай бұрын
😂 The water spigot wasn't threaded, so it was spraying me continuously as I held the little adapter up to it. The fact that we could fill our tanks that way we would consider amazing, lol. - Howard
