I’m an American married to a Norwegian, living in Larvik. I really appreciate the videos with English subtitles as I’m learning Norsk! I also appreciate your content to learn about trails around Norway! I’m turning my roadie husband into a mountain biker so we’re always on the lookout for trail reviews! It seems that so many of Norway’s trails are either green or black! We’re definitely on the search for blue trails at the moment! Trysil has been our favorite and we hope to get to Nesbyen next summer! I’d be willing to donate a little $ to support more videos with English subtitles! Tusen takk!

The easiest way to support me is just to watch my videos! If you want to donate, you can always join the channel memberships for 30 NOK per month, or donate through the "Super Thanks" feature. Glad to hear you find the videos helpful :-)

Last week me and my wife were on vacation at Ringkøbing Fjord and I used the opportunity to visit Silkeborg Bikepark twice. I also had the plan to visit Nordskoven but unfortunately I hadn‘t enough time. Watching your video it seems to me that i missed out a lot. Those trails in Nordskoven and Vesterskoven look really nice. It was definately not the last time i will visit Denmark and bring my mountainbike with me. Best regards from Northern Germany.

I'm a Norwegian orienteer who grew up in Porsgrunn, so close to the Larvik ferry. I learned a _very_ long time ago (1970) that Denmark is NOT flat, at least not in the relatively few forested areas!

very cool seing your perspective on the trails we have here. Though i haven ridden any of those. If you come to Fyn someday you should take a ride in Svendborg

Wow, the trails are looking very flowy! I am from Northern Germany and we have a similar topography but our laws are ways more strict, so we are missing a lot of trail potential only due to legal reasons :( But I have to plan my next MTB vacation in Denmark I guess :D

I was pretty tired, so I only went for the optional downhill-trails. But what I didn't know was that I had to take the red uphills to get the red downhills. Next time I will remember that.

Amazing video Markus. Great storytelling! A shame I couldn't ride with you at the time you were here. Next time, I'm definately up for it!😎 Can I ask - How did you mount your GoPro camera? It looks great.
@topgundk2 жыл бұрын
My guess would be chin mount on the full face helmet. It have that feel, we see where the riders sees, with the perspective of a chest mount
@MarkusFinholt2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We can probably ride together the next time I come to Denmark. Lots of unexplored trails down there. As for the mount; I have it mounted on my chin, and this was filmed with Gopro 11, with hyperview. Makes for a very immersive look.

Awesome video! Just two mistakes if you ask me: 1. You didn't introduce your bike to new viewers :D 2. you didn't show any of the uphills which I think are also a part of riding MTB - and there are alot of that in Silkeborg too ;)
@MarkusFinholt2 жыл бұрын
I try not to do too much free advertisement for brands, and for the uphills you have to find someone else than me who has some passion for that stuff! I strongly prefer downhills.

Danish trails can be treacherous! If you see something that could be jumped, there's a 50% chance the landing is a 90* turn (: Cool how they can fit 18kms of trails in 4 square km!
@MarkusFinholt2 жыл бұрын
I actually had the opposite feeling. Felt like I could jump everything without knowing where the trail goes, because it's so predictable. Hats off to all builders.
@EMTBVideos2 жыл бұрын
@@MarkusFinholt Yeah, those trails looked nice. I meant natural trails without purpose built jumps. If you find a natural bump that looks inviting to jump, chances are the landing is a 90* turn (:
