The most overlooked part of Fractal is that beyond their superior amp modeling and thousands of modeled cabs, their effects are as good or better than the best available pedals from Strymon and definitely Boss and MXR style pedals. But also on par with the Eventide rack units prior to the current H9000 offering. That Eventide unit is in another stratosphere. But for 99.9% of us who have time to watch videos, build home studios and comtemplate these kinds of purchases, post 2019 Fractal Audio modelers are more than you will ever, ever need for recording and live use. The power of this unit allows for quite a bit of singular use for basic Amp/Cab/Mod/Verb or Dly/Verb. But effects stacking is incredible if you throw it in the loop. If you really need to be blown away, the Axe FX III will allow effects stacking that's almost multi-dimensional. Seemingly with no limit to creative use.

Surely you are joking. We are not all fancy, affluent musicians like yourself. I speak for the average home player. You speak more like, the elite. A bit of a snob. @andywoodmusic2 ай бұрын
@@MOAB-UT I enjoy the constant use of “son” seems I’ve hit a nerve. 1- I said what I said because the big 3 strymon pedals is around $1300. That’s still just 3 choices of effects at a time. VP4 gives more simultaneous (4) for cheaper, and the effect quality is on par, all while being smaller than any given 4 pedals on the market. The price point for what it does is in no away even close to an “insult”, that’s a melodramatic comment and one I wanted to address. 2- chill out, don’t be so offended. 3- it’s no secret I’ve worked with fractal for years, dating back to 2014 with the Stapp proof of life tour. This little pedal is something I’ve wanted them to do for a very long time, and was honored they asked me to do some factory presets for it. Obviously you can put 2 and 2 together. I’m not some maniacal ego driven asshole that you so desperately want to paint me into, and clearly I love cliff and matt and the fractal team. @@andywoodmusic Ok- at least you admit it. YOU ARE BOUGHT AND PAID by FRACTAL. Got it. Very clear now. For folks like you, dropping nearly a grand for four (4) effects is no big deal. For the average Joe, they would be far better served grabbing a slightly used FM3 for around the same price. It would provide them with far more capability including amps. Understand this- I like and appreciate Fractal gear. I was really hoping they would up their game with their next hardware release. This was very disappointing to me. They did nothing to improve the dated UI and four effects is a tease. It reminds me of how they watered down (CPU) the FM3 so people would have to upgrade or buy additional pedals- the whole OMG thing. OMG that is annoying. Their clear goal is to keep the consumer coming back and buying more. Yes, you hit a nerve when you replied back insulting me right out of the gate, assuming I don't have or know anything about those common pedals. I have been playing longer than you- son. I am not on anyone's payroll so I can speak the truth.
