I can say with %100 accuracy a surgical needle through the right nut while awake is alot worse ........Although reeling up form 300 too 400 feet is a good job which settles the boys down real quickly especially when ya get a big gold spot . My thumb nail is nudging 20 kg Red emperor from 150 foot .I can tell even though i was reasonably fit was a hard pull for the first 50 foot @ 8:40 min ,that my friend is a small dog !

Most of the large ones look like Red Snapper and the smaller ones like Mingo Snapper here in Pensacola, Florida in the panhandle of Florida, both excellent fish.

Beautiful fish great catch but you bust your gut after muddies then use automated reels very disappointed. Admittedly I'm old school and was a Qld pro for many years and did that type of fishing with hand lines and 80lb Schinder (wrong spelling) . Great fish though...

I only use these reels in over 80m of water, the sharks are that thick you are only feeding them if you don't use electrics

You must be a bit spoilt for choice if you're turning your nose up at spangles, cod and trevally. Stick to chasing bream and whiting for a few months, then you'll happy to haul them up. Bleed and ice them straight away and they taste a lot better. Most people who complain about the edibility of a fish haven't handled it well at capture, cleaned it properly or over-cooked it and more likely all three. Electric reels are for chicks.
