This angelfish in in health and have normal behavior so it’s not suffering, I won’t keep it for many months from now, I ll give it away before the end of the summer

I like the green corals on the back. How did he attached those?
@DannysAquariums6 ай бұрын
They probably attached themselves! If you put a small piece of it near the background, it will start growing on it! Like moss… but this is the saltwater equivalent 😝

I glued gsp to a small rock and placed the rock next to the backwall. The green star polyp coral will eventually grow onto the back panel. Give it a shot
@jefrilay2 ай бұрын
Subscribed! I have a question how to attach the gsp to the back of the glass for the first time? And if they grow are they automatically attached on the back of the glass too or it required special treatment so it will attached on the back glass all of them? I do hope you will reply this question since this is an old video. Thank you and regards from Indonesia…. 🙏

How did you get the gsp to grow like that
@Divereth2 ай бұрын
If you don't have any GSP on glass already you should glue the frag as close to glass as possible in a place where there's enough light and flow. It might take months for it to start growing on the glass, but once it starts it goes relatively fast. I had a big, 12 cm wide GSP rock that I put on sandbed near glass and it took it 3-6 months to start growing on the glass. And only at one point even though the rock was 12 cm wide. 6 months later it grew 20 cm high over the glass. It generally want's to grow up and spreads to the sides in a cone shape. Once you have it growing on glass you should make sure it doesn't grow on the rocks nearby. You can easily control it by slicing the parts that grow too close to the rocks and then reuse the sliced fragments to glue to other parts of the glass you want to have GSP on (you need to find a glue that works for you though). Good luck.

Amazing tank, just know if you have a challenge keeping plants alive this is not likely for you. Salt reef tanks go sour easily (especially micro-tanks) and quickly, vacations are so risky. Beautiful tanks bring us into the hobby and may sick tanks later often drive most out. They are so relaxing and beautiful when working right.

A lot of species in the aquarium trade are grown and bred on farms and not taken from the ocean. Yes, there is still some wild caught stuff.. but it’s becoming less and less.
@k011006 ай бұрын
there’s organizations that take from reefs and grow the corals out many times faster than in the wild and re release them with protection so they can hold on to the reef while they attach so yes stuff is taken sometimes but most in the aquarium trade has been captive bred/ grown for a long time now plus this can preserve some species that would otherwise be smothered in nature and could be kept alive while we get its home just right & put it back one day :)

These comments are funny. “That’s way too small! It’s going to be unhappy!” Right, and you think that a yellow tang that roams the ocean will be happy in a 55-75 gallon tank like the official online recs are, or even 120? That doesn’t even account for the water column above the tang in a 1 ft x 1 ft area. You’re keeping the tang in a broome closet compared to its natural life. IMO if it looks healthy, eats well, swims happily, is active, and is disease free, it’s probably happy. It’s comically pretentious of people to suddenly act like they are Fish Welfare-God and decide when a fish is or isn’t doing well. This was a baby Emperor Angelfish and the owner even clarified that it’s a temp home. Calm down guys. Funny how people always go crazy against buyers putting tangs in a 30G, but never against the stores they buy them from putting them in 1 gallon display cubes.
