This is literally my hair routine method too. I use it on my self as well as my daughter and I have to say it works wonders. My 5 year old hair has grew so much from age 1-4 then I fell off the routine and although she didnt have breakage I did notice she didnt retain as much length as i thought she would. She was almost waist length and for the last year i haven't seen a huge difference BUT Im back to this routine almost same products too and Ive notice her hair stayed moisturizer longer which in the long run will equal more length retention.

Love your videos by the way. Just wondering when or if you started blowdrying her hair after washing? My daughter has very thick hair just wondering if i should plait and airdry or blowdry? Thanks 😊
@ncbynovella7 ай бұрын
Thanks so much sis! No I've never blow dried her hair (she's 3 currently). Air drying in plaits/twists is my preference even for high density hair. Saying that I started blow drying my eldest daughter's hair when she was 6, she'll be 8 next month and I've only blow dried her hair 3 times 👑

Thank you! When you say you moisturize weekly, do you moisturise while she has her hair still made?

You're welcome! No I take out her plaits, moisturise then put them back in 👑

Do you clip her ends at this age? If so, how do you it without ever blow drying her hair? Also, I didn’t see the video you had mentioned at the end. Was it posted?
@ncbynovella9 ай бұрын
I haven't started trimming her ends just yet but when I do, I'll do it the same way I use to trim her sisters hair which is in twists. Sorry I didn't understand your second question 👑

At the end of the video, you’d mention to check your video at the bottom left hand screen to show how you grew your daughter’s hair to tailbone length in 3 years, but I didn’t see it.

Do you detangle before the start of wash day when her hair has been in a protective style?
@ncbynovella9 ай бұрын
No sis, with her hair I don't detangle prior. I carefully take down her plaits/protective style, separate and then begin wash day as shown in the video👑

I cant seem to move forward despite my efforts. My washday routine is prepoo ang fingerbdetangle for hours with a aloe vera juice and sweet almond old or conditioner. Then i go and shampoo but by the time i rinse abd adding conditioner my hair is so matted i have to be literally ripping it out and finger detangling. Then i deep condition and rinse anf again my hair is super matted and i have to rip it out and finger detangle again ti moisturize and style it in twist. I have tried different shampoo and masques and nothing changes. I cant retain the new length or thickness at all. Any advice?

@@kayannaweekly4455 I wash it every 3-4weeks and finger detangle it about every 7-10days.

@@ncbynovella thanks. I watched the video and it's very similar to the routine I already have from 1. prepoo with Aloe Vera and sweet almond oil sometimes overnight or few hours and finger detangle for hours. 2 shampoo in sections of 8-12 twists, rinse thoroughly. Finger detangle again. 3. Deep condition in sections and leave it for 10-30 minutes depending on my schedule. Rinse and detangle again. 4. Moisturize with water, leave-in and oil/butter. However as I stated previously at all of these Four stages of detangling my hair is matted that I have to literally rip it apart. That is my issue!

What is your opinion on beads at the ends? Are they damaging?
@ncbynovella9 ай бұрын
They can be, depending on several factors for example, If several are used and they are heavy, If they are removed incorrectly etc. best thing is to use them for special occasions only and be sure they aren't causing breakage particularly to the ends of the hair which is the oldest part of the hair.
