Beautiful! And if you can do it in 1-hr WITH disrespectful shrinkage and tail bone length hair…ANY OF US CAN 😂😂😂 I know what helped me cut down time was not trying to get my hair “perfectly” detangle. Get the shed hairs out, detangle briefly and move on. Also, I realized, for me, there wasn't any difference in the way my hair felt after deep conditioning for 45 min with heat vs 10 mins with heat. So that cut down a lot too!
@ncbynovella Жыл бұрын
Thank you! 🤣🤣🤣 You all sure can! Yes exactly getting the shed hairs out is important, that's why I personally love the felicia leatherwood detangling brush as it does a great job getting the shed hairs out. Funny you say that, I use to think that deep conditioning for an hour or even overnight was best for my hair, until I found deep conditioners that actually perform with or without heat, game changer I tell you. Thanks for sharing your experience! It's a pleasure to read 👑

I’m 9 years natural and have never been able to detangle my hair with a brush like this, not even in the shower with conditioner. I know that if I could,my hair would do so much better.

Wow! Your hair is absolutely beautiful. My natural hair is almost at your length through having cornrows plaits for 4-6mths the last 24mths. I have been following your 🥰😍 children's hair wash day routine for my TO's hair and now followed this from the 20/03 and due on the 03/04, my nx hair wash day every 2 wks like this since a yr ago...I can confirm I am retaining length well, soft moisturized natural hair and I will continue as this method works!!👍🏾👍🏾 brilliantly....Thank you gorgeous Sis... I can't wait to sign up with you. 🙏🏾🙏🏾May this 💫vlog go viral...it definitely helps..❤️❤️TFS💗🌟

Hello Novella! Hope your kids and you are doing well 😄. I've been asking myself this question and your help would be very welcome please; isn't it pointless to pre-poo hair overnight with an oil when you sealed moisture in your hair with grease on your last wash day? Will the oil actually penetrate the hair despite the grease layer on it 🤔?
@CoilyCode Жыл бұрын
She washed the pre-poo oil out, shampoo. condition, then apply the grease. The oil has been rinsed out before and cleansed by the shampoo
@ncbynovella Жыл бұрын
Hey sis! We are good thanks, hope you and yours are well too? No not at all, I always say grease isn't bullet proof lol. Sealing with grease isn't a permanent shield, your hair will still get dry eventually, it will still be able to get wet etc so with pre pooing yes the oils will still be able to penetratate 👑 PS - I'm also not using buckets of grease on my hair to seal, I literally just use a dab per section on wash day 😊

Hi Novella, thank you so much for your videos! I just started watching them these past few weeks when a friend that uses your service recommended them to me. They have been very informative and enlightening. I have also undergone a major mindset shift towards my hair, and I know God used your vids to help me do that too! My major problem now is I have really short natural hair (about 13 cm when stretched) and putting it in twists after sectioning to wash is a real struggle. It doesn't stay in the twists! Braiding it seems counterproductive as it is harder to loosen after the wash and the product may not be washed out thoroughly. Rubber bands aren't recommended, and normal bands slip off during the wash 😓😓I honestly don't know what else to do and would appreciate any helpful suggestions!

Hey Stephanie! aww I'm so glad you've found my videos helpful so far and have also started working on shifting your mindset towards your hair. It's a game changer honestly, I thank God for that. For shorter hair I recommend washing all in one so not in twists or sections, check this old video of me washing my youngest hair when her hair was shorter this would be a good technique for you at this stage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6fJloGwfM2Hf7c Reply

Helloo novella , hope the family is doing good . U didn't not shampoo for the second time before applying your deep conditioner . That means you shampoo once and then go ahead with the deep conditioner. I always shampoo my lil one hair twice before I deep conditioner . Mum can I know whether to shampoo twice or once on wash days before I deep conditione And secondly Mum can I do hot oil treatment on wash days i want to cleanse or clarify ? Or on wash days u want to deep cleanse or clarify you must avoid hot oil treatment prior to washing hair ? Waiting your answers and thanks mum❤
@ncbynovella Жыл бұрын
Hey Maame, yes thanks. Hope you and yours are well too? Yes, I only ever need to shampoo once. If your LO has a lot of build up then shampooing twice may be best. You can do a hot oil treatment on clarifying or regular cleansing days there's no hard fast rule.

I need help: so I usually do the same thing with my hair but when I twist my hair and rinse out the conditioner most of my twist are coming out should I re do the twist before shampoo?
@ncbynovella Жыл бұрын
If that's the case it's your technique, I do rope twists instead of regular twists then twirl the ends that's why mine stay in even though they are big. You can redo or try loose plaits instead 👑

My hair unwinds in twists. I have to do plaits. I’m wondering if I should detangle fully in the shower like this lol I feel like I’m wasting water. I started doing the pre po with water spray not n conditioner n detangle n plait my hair then shampoo in the shower n if I need another detangled at the conditioner part in the shower I will 🤔 maybe I’ll try both n see what works better
@ncbynovella Жыл бұрын
I rope twist which stays secure compared to regular twists. Definitely try both and see which works better for you. I usually wash my hair out of the shower with my head tilted over the bath 👑
