The BEST Negative Deck That I've Played In A LONG Time | Marvel Snap

Today we showing off our new build to make use of Adam Warlock. When I first started brewing this deck I was looking for a consistent non-gimmicky way to utilize Adam Warlock to help when playing against your opponents Hawk. I tried him in a guardians shell and a few other places that felt okay, but none felt consistent, until this deck. As with any negative build you have to anticipate a bit of win variance. The great thing about this one is that it can sometimes manage to hold it's own even when not hitting the high roll of mister negative, but when you do get mister negative down you have so much burst potential with your array of 0 cost cards that it's nearly impossible for your opponent to anticipate where and how much power you'll have on the board. Use this to your advantage to steal big cubes games back!

Depends on the decks you play abd cards you have in hand. Negative has some hard and soft counters

@@lamadonna611 This comment holds no relevance to this post. Obviously they show the best games, but my point is, people do stay in games against negative decks for 8 cubes, when the negative deck is heavily favoured at that point.

Fun deck! For today with Peak being hot location I swapped out Black Widow and Shang Chi for Rogue and Super Skrull respectively for mirror matches and its working wonders!

This deck feels super consistent for a negative deck. I got a little greedy with it and subbed Widow and Warlock for Venom and Knull. I’ve found that it helps the high rolls put out even more power without really hurting the deck too much when you low roll, plus buffed Venom is sometimes just a decent tempo play on 3 if nothing else. Great list overall 👍

I just played against this deck twice. Beat him the first time and immediately snapped when his name came back up and waxed him for 8 cubes. He hit negative in 3&4. These people copy your decks but do not have your skill of maneuvering the deck and that is exactly why I won. Anyways love your content and your deck building

It only worked because her ability didn’t go off when it was played by the location. If you Zola her with a copied ability, it spawns 2 mystiques with the already copied ability btw

@@NeroYow so Zola hasn’t fully resolved when it’s making its copies, so technically the last card fully played was iron man, so she copies his effect. Hope that makes sense haha

Question: in game 3 final turn, wouldn't hawk then arnim on the bridge be better? Because arnim would stay and die on the bridge while two hawks would conformably win the game?

How it comes that in the last game Jubilee pulls America Chavez? Shouldn't it pull the top card of the deck? And America Chavez be on the very bottom of the deck? I'm confused >< (top video, as always).

I'm confused by the zola mystique play in game 1 and how that works. I would've thought Zola is considered the last card played and she'd just copy him and do nothing.

Zola is still considered to be in play, so that's why mystique copied the abilities. Zola hasn't been "played" until the on reveal finishes

​@LBurwell99 no, it's just like cards like Zola and Jubilee aren't really played until their effect resolves. So what happens first is their On Reveal and it fully completes and after that they are considered played. So Iron Man into Jubilee pulling Mystique would work the same way. Weird but cool

in first game playing both darkhawk and ironman turn 5 made u only be able to copy ironman turn 6, imo the better play was to go with only ironman turn 5 and then on turn 6 you would have a choice whether you want to copy ironman (so arnim into mystique and then drop darkhawk+warlock) or darkhawk before arnim to copy darkhawk with mystique. This way you would have a choice and could play accordingly on what your opponent did turn 5 and what u expect turn 6. The only situation I would play darkhawk turn 5 and not turn 6 is if I would expect wave or prof x turn 5, but opponent deck didnt look like they play wave, maaaybe prof x but its a big maybe looking at cards like rockslide and mystique already on the board. Another thing is without playing darkhawk turn 5 you would go into turn 6 without priority which would prevent that shang chi from happening (or theoretical enchantres - unlikely though when he played his darkhawk middle)

I think it's because it's ability hadn't finished resolving, so it doesn't count has 'having been played' it's more like in a state of 'in the process of being played'

IgneousRoc had the answer correct! The ability from arnim zola was still in the process of resolving but gets interrupted by the new mystiques on reveal ability. Mystique then fully resolves before arnim is considered fully resolved or the last card played!

Yes I was wondering the same thing. It kinds of the same weird interaction with lockjaw when a card swap to mystic. She doesn't copy the last card you play then but the last card you played and that is on the board... This one is even more odd though but good to know.

Because Zola's effect is not considered "played" until his effect resolves and creates the two cards, so the initial copy created copies the last registered card, which is iron man, and the second copy copies the first.

so, let me exclaim my rage everytime I've faced this deck, they pull off Mr. Negative on turn 3 I try to play this deck, you want to know how often I got to play Negative on 3? 1 out of 15 games and that 1 was against Galactus on 4, Spider-Man on 5 so much rage right now

I played this deck alot before the nerfs and its terribly inconsistent (Mr. Negative archetype in a nutshell)... When it works, it works but eh. Its an OK deck, nothing worth climbing with in the current format tho.

This deck is bad IMO. Been absolutely tanking my rank trying to test it out and I’ve only won 1/12 games so far. The early cards you play are too weak to ever let Adam Warlock proc and I usually start the game with the cards that I want Mr. Negative to affect in hand. Playing him and then drawing Korg and Black Widow feels horrendous. I’m scrapping it for now.
