Have played Vokey for many Years, took a gamble and bought a 51 from Edison, the most forgiving and best feeling wedge I have ever had. I have a 51 and a 55. haven't touched my Vokey in over 4 months.

Absolutely nothing wrong with product reviews! I don't know a golfer alive who isn't looking for the latest and greatest product to help improve their game. I appreciate honest reviews, and you have always been upfront about whether or not you receive any compensation for your reviews. You are aces with me MrShortGame. Keep the lessons, drills, and reviews coming!

Matt, have you ever considered reviewing a Maltby club by Golfworks? They are all USGA conforming clubs. Their wedges and irons have a classic look but pack some tech as well. I was able to pick up a forged wedge, built to spec for around $50 shipped. They even dialed in my specifics on swing weight. Top quality imo

About 2 Months ago I bought the Kirkland Wedges 52, 56, 60 Degree and have to say for $169 they are a great value and work very well.. Good solution for a Mid Handicapper..

Fully forged wedge and awesome performance. SUB 70 . Only 109 each and a bunch of options fully built for you.

Wondering about your followup thoughts on the Edison wedges. Considering these and the new zip core.
@jonq8714 Жыл бұрын
They look a lot like my Maltby TE forged irons, so they could fit right in my bag. Though, I get along really well with my CBX2's so I don't really see the need to swap them out yet.

Can you do a review on the Callaway Jaws wedges??? I feel you’d love them!!!

Nice breakdown of the Edison wedges. I think it's the person holding the club that really matters. Like every show except the video games of golf.

Great video Matt; Got a question do you feel having your wedges 2 degrees flat makes it easier to interact with the turf ?

Just got a set of the Ben Hogan wedges in black - they are $50 cheaper per club. Only played one round and so far so good.

I got a 53, and that led to a 57, they are super easy and consistent. Better than cast cavity back wedges

Another wedge company that people may not know about is Lazarus they make forged wedges that spin like crazy for me and I love them might be worth a comparison to the Edison wedges. They come in 52,56,and 60° for $139 for all three which is less than one vokey wedge.

Been searching for reviews on edison wedges. Love the forgiveness they claim. are they really for me though? will likely give them a try when i need to retire my Tour S PINGs. Thanks for the review!
@benoitglazer87724 жыл бұрын
FYI, Miura, Epon, other Japanese makers, Mizuno, Ben Hogan, Bettinardi, Wilson Staff, and more, all offer forged wedges. However, a forged small cavity, for $180, that's pretty good.
@acamartin4 жыл бұрын
Mizuno does offer forged wedges, also ping i think, but these are probably on the cheaper side, the thick top line is probably more confidence inspiring for us high handicappers..Cheer Matt, hope i can get back to San diego some time and play torrey one day. :D!!!

Before this year I played about a half dozen times in my life. This year already I have played about twenty rounds. I’m shooting high seventies to low eighties. I really need help on spin. I make great approach shots but they mostly end up rolling off the green. Any advice

Mr. SG can you try out the Cleveland Smart Sol wedges. They are similar to the Mazel you tried out earlier this year. I want to know your opinion.

Good review Matt. I like your product reviews and appreciate your sharing your experiance with new products. Some say you are plugging but I do recall you calling some products a "POS" but in a nice way. Have you tried any of the putting matts? Maybe good for product review when we get to the late fall or winter months. Thank you, for your work and the content you create for us.

Hey Matt; nice knife. How many sets of clubs do you have ? I’m sure those wedges are electrified. I’ll stick with my Vokey wedges but as always nice job. Be safe!

In terms of the Edison appearing to fly more left, that is explainable because: - Titleist uses 64 degree lie angle on the 50 whereas the edison uses 63.5 (it is almost always the case that Titleist is the most upright as a Spec) - the perimeter weighting of the Edison will cause more Dynamic Toe down while swinging (usually this is a 1 to 2 degree effect - guys at TXG have a video on this) If the Edison was bent another 1, maybe 1.5 more upright, it would likely fly same as the Titleist
@MM-zb9kc4 жыл бұрын
Paul O'Neil wouldn’t that mean the Edison goes more right than left? Upright causes the draw/left spin. I thought he pushed it and it went right on the gap shot.

I love and play the Scor wedges that the designer was a part of previously. Not a fan of all the massive, GI wedges it there. Large faces, wide soles... Just not ideal for me and my game. Came upon the Edison wedges and I'm intrigued... Especially with the money back guarantee.

MrShortGame Golf I think that’s the point he was trying to make. Company sends you products for free and you give positive feedback in exchange. Nothing wrong with it, but it’s basically pay for play as stated.

I respect you for communicating back. Because I like you but for a while I feel As though I am missing the old Mr Shortgame. Just speaking from the heart I don’t have any science. And I think it is a good thing that they send you stuff so that you can goof around trying them. That is the reward and duty of a good content producer. Thanks for reaching out and communicating. I have benefitted from your channel.
