That second map is a CW4 remake of a popular CW3 gamemode known as "Sleeper". Normally, you would play as yourself, fighting the creep and corrupted turrets, but there were a few maps where you would play as the sleeper instead.

That map makes me think there could be a good mechanic where instead of creep destroying cannons/mortars/etc, it'll corrupt them. Would definitely slow down Tom and his Rambo squads if he's not likely to just lose them but they'll be a thing he has to deal with later.

@@Cyrathil It could be fun for a few maps but the game already kind of encourages you to be overly defensive so if that was a core mechanic it would probably just slow down the game.

Creeper World is such a great game, it's almost crazy to think about how well it is coded/designed for a little indie company. It is objectively better than most AAA strategy games in almost every way, the only things that aren't "objectively" better are the graphics and story since those are matter of personal preference and I think they are great too. The modding support and documentation is great, the community is great, the developer's communication with their players is great. I have heard one person say that they are just making the same game over and over but CW2 and Particle Fleet are hugely different to the rest of the games and even the games that could be considered "the same" are still more different than the new installments of most AAA games. I don't expect anyone to actually read this comment but I just wanted to say that this game/team deserves all the support and success (as does Tom

From the first installment of CW1 I knew the devs have passion for making these kind of games. The only drawback in CW4 is its processing power consumption, which makes the game less enjoyable on older PCs. Though the sleeper mods are totally bonkers on my fps, so it's not fully on the devs. Still every installment has new angle to similar concept. And every new installment keeps up with times while the games get better.

First of I want to be truthful in that I am writing this before watching the video, since seeing a new video from Tom got my mood up so wanted to share while I had the energy. Thank you Tom for everything you do! I have depression and a growing anxiety and your videos like these when you are the most pro of players or just the chill vids being a trainset while talking have help me alot with just relaxing and having a laugh, it gets my days going with the bad thought at bay. I always play the cursor maps with the topdown option toggled. It allows me to put the AC preciesely where I mean to.

Nice, Tom is messing with the mod maps other than PAC. Pro tip on cursors: more surface area more gud. Most maps, creep or AC, multiply the cursor effect the more of the desired viscous liquid is on the map.
