Way back in the day the moment I saw the reveal for the brand new Light Supers, with Twilight Arsenal in particular, I knew I wanted to get this video out as soon as The Final Shape launched, and there were quite a few surprises when making this video. We started with Twilight Arsenal and while the super itself is super awesome to use, it's honestly a little underwhelming in terms of damage. I didn't go to pick up the axes afterwards on purpose because that invalidates it's use as a burst super, which for the sake of the testing I thought was suitable. After that we did Song of Flame and it absolutely blew me away, especially when paired with Apotheosis Veil! Never did I think a super could output over 1 million damage, but here we are! After that we did Storm's Edge which at first I expected to be kind of bad but after testing it with Star Eater Scales I was very surprised to see it hit almost 700k, but do keep in mind to throw all 3 daggers it does take a considerable amount of time, but it's still very viable regardless. For the rest of the video I just compared the 3 new ones to older supers as well as some fun ones like the new Hellion Aspect with Ember of Ashes, but you'll have to keep watching to see that. Song of Flame, Scorch boosting Fragments, Hellion, Tractor Cannon, and the Exotic Class mark with both Apotheosis Veil and Star Eater would probably be an extremely strong support Warlock strategy for bosses like Crota or the first Boss in Salvation's Edge. The point is to throw it out and do dps with ur weapons while it weakens....maybe a small buff is needed but really ur dps is on u. Super gives u a 400k head start plus weaken

I feel like people are forgetting you can use weapons too while in song of flame. There's a bit of downtime between cycles that I've been filling with dragons breath shots. I haven't tested it but a demo rocket might be even better.

insane that Thundercrash with Curaiss a super that requires you to physically hit the boss and doesn't work in multiple situations does less damage than golden gun... not to mention how utterly useless base t-crash is without Curaiss.

Golden gun can dish out a massive amount of damage but you have to hit the crit. There are quite a few enemies that are highly mobile and you’re aiming for the very top of their body, not the center or general vicinity. You hit a body and you do 1/5th the damage. You barely miss and you’re doing 0. There are a handful of enemies that that shot is a gimme (Oryx). Yes you can stand far out of harms way but you have to hit the shot. T-crass is high risk. You fly straight at the enemy, but as long as you hit the enemy or right next to it you’re dealing max damage. But there are a bunch of those burst supers that are pretty similar. Blade barrage, arc staff throw, nova, T-crash, needle storm, void axe throw etc… and the damage numbers are drastically different. And I can’t for the life of me figure out why they are set at such different points. They seem more like arbitrary decisions instead of purposeful balance made by the team

You need to use claws of ahamkara and dragons breath while using song of flame. You shoot a dragons breath, then you spam melee (it has next to no cooldown thanks to claws of ahamkara) and then shoot anoother dragons breath after less than 3 seconds. Its beautiful.

Huge video nice testing 🔥 I will say i did my own testing as a titan main, and syntho is worth using on twilight arsenal because it makes it stronger than T-crash, but the numbers have to keep in mind its applying weaken after the first axe and other supers dont. Also the tracking on twilight arsenal is some of the weirdest tracking. If you jump after being surrounded by yhe thrall to keep up syntho, the axe can go flying straight down into a thrall.

I was doing some playing around of my own with song of flame, and let me just mention you get fairly substantial increases when using Claws of Ahamkara or Verity's Brow. With Claws, you can melee twice and then throw nade and repeat, which removes all downtime from waiting for abilities. Verity's Brow can give the double grenade damage, which works inside of the super. (Note: Verity's builds stacks based on the element of your equipped grenade, and not the super's grenade. So, for example, I had an arc grenade and I could still build stacks inside of the super with indebited kindness.) This showed a slightly better increase in damage over claws, and I only had the verity's buff for half of the super, but I imagine this could have a huge impact on teammates if by chance both song of flame's grenade regen and verity's bonus grenade regen stack together. I wasn't able to test that, but if it allows teammates to throw grenades non-stop that could be huge.

Correction on the math used to remove the 25%. Dividing by 1.25 does not equal subtracting by 25%. For an example from the video The adjusted value for twilight arsenal with the artifact mod was 394,500. That's the value when using the equation 493,125/1.25. But when you use the equation 493,125-(25/100x493,125) or more simply put 493,125-25%, you get the value of 369843.75, or 369844 since damge is always rounded up

T-crash needs a buff, shitty super that requires an exotic, goes to melee range, clips through bosses, and useless in most encounters. And the prismatic nade needs a buff against enemies with suspension immunity, the jolt won't trigger more than once if the enemy isn't suspended.

Great video, and nice to know where they all stand. One note I had though is for the warlock prismatic grenade it’s hard to get a good value since the first bit is buffed by the void surge isn’t it? So that would probably put it more in line with the titan grenade in terms of damage?

Nah warlock is still better, have to remember it was strand a void surges, so that means the titan grenade also got buffed so overall how much more the warlock grenade did than the titans would still be the exact same.

You can also phoenix dive with weavers call to add threadlings to your damage rotation in song of flame super, your class ability recharges at a similar rate so you could rotate all 3, not sure if it would add damage but with swarmers you would also unravel the target adding further to your damage. I have not tested this, but will work based on all the aspect info I’m reading. I built a full loadout on this for tomorrow.

Another thing with Storm's Edge with Prismatic is that there is a fragment that increases light ability damage to enemies debuffed by darkness effects. Prismatic Hunter has access to two very strong darkness melees that both apply debuffs, so this increased damage is very easy to set up yourself.

All 15% weakened is 25% with Expanding Abyss, but 30% is only buffed to 35%. So if everyone is using void weapons you can get out "a lot" of the smaller weakening effects then to have someone on Tractor. For example the new Titan super, followed by a weakened grenade 8(?) seconds later to extend it

What about the axes that Twilight Arsenal drops? They weaken on hit and there is the option to throw them for more damage on their last bit of ammo. If u found damage of one of them, you could add the other 2 to the total, hypothetically speaking that you had two other teammates picking them up

@@shade072 Most builds on void or prismatic shouldn't be using synthos, it's just a weaker version of Wormgod's. It's also important to note the damage over time. As in T-Crash is shorter than a full Twilight Arsenal for most bosses, there are exceptions like Oryx.

Wanted to ask but have you thought about/ever tested which of the grenades would be stronger for the apotheosis veil build? Like I know you tested it for a solar build but are fusion grenades the strongest grenade? Like what about some of the prismatic grenades/melees? Are storm grenades not worth testing? or like vortex grenades with the weakening fragment? what about using threaded needle too? I don't totally know how strong ignitions are in terms of everything so I figured it would be worth asking about.

You maximized song of flame by using all abilities until super was expended. You need to use Twilight Arsenal, and also pick up the axes and use its heavy attack for all 3 axes for a more representing total.

Youd have to go to the boss to get it, but Im assuming since well got nerfed damage phases are gonna be mobile so maybe you get the chance to get it? I havent seen any damage testing of the axe, but maybe throwing one could be viable? I assume the damage is gonna be equal to one GL shot, and it will also weaken.

With prismatic, warlocks can have a good rotation with Helion song of flame and weavers call to spawn a lot of threadlings and the usual SoF abilities

Btw for the Pyrogale damage testing you're supposed to be popping the super with pyrogales, then switch to synthos and proc biotic enhancements, then slam it to deal the most amount of damage. Don't forget ember of ashes too

Not suitable in a DPS context, you're wasting time and potential DPS by running to the axes to pick them up. The damage dealt by the dropped axes isn't enough to make up for the loss of DPS running to them.

You should have thrown the axes too to show how much that can get. Cause the original twilight super is way quicker then most other supers. Which is great for dps. Not to mention you used exotics with others and could have used Synthoceps with it. Plus everyone gets star eaters soon. But you kept using it for Hunter and not using Synthos with Titan

Don't forg, the main point of Twilight Arsenal is the axes being able to be used by you AND teammates, so the damage there would probably go higher

ive been using armormentarium on prismatic bc well two nades is nice for double the glacier walls, also once transendence ends those two nades are always back up and available, which you can consume BOTH for a longer shield duration banking more dmg. didnt dmg test but i hit an ogre and some trash once and got just over 50% of my super back...i was also using ashes to assets and firepower, but idr if i actually got the one or two orbs that were made factored into the super gen

I think the fact that twilight arsenal has the unique feature of letting your freinds do damage with you is where the true strength lies and on top of it you can weaken and suppress the boss for extra damage

I would have liked to see how much bonus damage the three huge void axes would do. Either as hack and slash damage or thrown damage - and what the heck why not hack and slash till 1 "ammo" left and then throw. Just to really milk that super for all the potential damage. do you think theres a world where song of flame and a strong solar or kinetic weapon is the play? since you get radiant and scorch on them for free, thinking like xeno or maybe a demo solar rocket, also throw in transendance for extra weapon damage

Im a titan main but dam that warlock solar super is crazy. And even can come in handy if boss damage phase is over but you still have super or extra super with the helmet to clear alot of adds surrounding the boss so everyone can escape safe for next phase😂

Was just able to get 1,110,197 on the same boss with Song of Flame melee only and Bastion with it's new buffs. On Prismatic so no Ember of Ashes. *Also no Claws of Ahamkara which I mentioned in another comment

I see this everytime on the titan supers. Everybody forgets that synthoceps gives a 50% buff to super damage
