The Best New Training Methods for Oldschool Runescape in 2024!

Oldschool runescape has changed a lot in 2024. One thing I have noticed is that there are a huge amount of new and reworked training methods that have recently been added.
This is mainly due to updates like varlamore and the recent project rebalance! Today I am going to be showing you some of my favorite new methods. Whats cool is most of these offer a unique benefit when comparing them to the current meta training methods.

Hey! Ever since the video dropped, I've been farming fever spiders. Around 55 minutes now which marks my second banking trip and 178 kill count. I have mid-level account, 71 attack, 70 strength, 64 def. My gear is: Helm of Neizinoth, Glory, Ardougne Cloak 2, Abyssal Whip, Rune chest, drag defender, rune platelegs, rune boots, ring of wealth and slayer gloves. No cannon, no herb pouch, no prayers or potions used. In those 55 minutes I hoarded approximately 700k in alchemy, making it my by far best moneymaker atm. I will use this money to buy a cannon and post an update after I get it and try for another hour.

Okay! Here are the cannon stats: 1 hour, 6 minutes. 3x banked. Total 1339K from alchemy alone + about 240k in Kwuarms. I do have to deduct the price of the total amount of cannonballs used, which was exactly 1140*183(GE price)= 208 602. So total 1 130 380 profit EXCLUDING kwuarms.

One thing not mentioned as well is when you turn on XP rewards at Zalcano, while you don't get regular drops, you do still get uniques and the pet.

Don’t forget if u do sulphur with maracas to wear the full blood moon set as it boosts the xp per hour 15-25% depending on your other gear and stats.

It's also worth noting that almost all the Nagua drops either stack or come noted. Their drop table isn't amazing but you will never need to bank or even alch when killing them. Using house keys to burgle makes thieving semi afk and is great if you don't want to get carpal tunnel. There's sound cues for everything so you can be alt tabbed for 90% of it. Same goes for mining the rocks in Cam Torum.

Even if the drops aren't mindblowing, they're still drops you're getting primarily from an experience-oriented method, which is an awesome side benefit compared to camping crabs or NMZ. Especially for ironmen, who can always use more ores for smithing grinds, adding even more exp to the method.

For naguas; you can also grab the vials of water inside. Besides that, grabbing the moths on the side that fly around nagues restores prayer. So the pots you make is just essentially a super combat pot.

I think the idea of distributing more wealth to lower level slayer monsters is an amazing idea for new/lower leveled players to actually begin making money with slayer. Versus only seeing profits once you make it to 75+. However, we all know this area is going to be flooded with bots lmfao.

That's kind of just the unfortunate reality of the game. Making gp more accessible to lower level players also makes it more accessible for bots too.

The other bummer is that the higher you are, the faster you can kill lower level monsters, so the risk of buffing lower levels is that higher levels can take better advantage of it, which runs the risk of overshadowing higher level monsters. (Kind of like how several skills you reach the best xp or GP per hour at like level 40)

You can get 90-100k xp/hr at Brimhaven with new strategy, once you tag a pillar you use achievement cape to teleport to start of course, then immediately relog and go tag the pillar again. Doesn't work for the very far pillar spawns of course but you can still get over 120 tickets/hr this way which is also fastest way for marks of grace in the game.

Fever spiders appears to be nerfed now unfortunately. 23 May 2024 (update) The NPC's drop table has been adjusted: The rune med helm has been replaced with the adamant med helm. The rune battleaxe has been replaced with the adamant battleaxe. The water battlestaff has been replaced with limpwurt roots.

even if you "only" make 1m/h with fever spider, that can make you a bond in 1-2 days without sacrificing progression. Only gets faster the higher combat/gear/supplies etc.

There is a great runelite plugin for pickpocketing citizens too that will send you a notification when one is distracted making it even more afk.

Pro-tip, if you're worried about vials of water. If you leave the moons area with potions left, you'll be returned outside with filled vials of water to replace them.

For the method on the sulphur nagua, Torag's hammers , or sulphur blades are also 2 hit options that can take advantage, sulphur blades only require 55atk as well , bot are cheaper that the machu-maraccas

Thieving Wealthy Citizens in Civitas is also a good method for easy clue scrolls, if getting some slots in that log tickles your fancy.

While I like the idea of making lower lvl tasks a little more worthwhile for people starting slayer, this is a horrendous update. You are better off killing a lvl 42 slayer monster than rune dragons , brutal blacks , gargoyles , & hell even zulrah probably. Not to even mention all the skilling methods that top out at 1-2m an hour and require 80+ in your stats. This is basically a slap in the face to anyone who did any work on their account . This should top out at 500k an hour at most not 2-2.5m , absolutely ridiculous.

I think that the gem stalls should've been made into cakes for speed, and XP lowered but faster xp/hr than it was it should be a viable way to get sapphires and emeralds quickly

Sulphur nagua actually drop a dual hit weapon, so you can get started right away even before finishing the quest. getting the blades got me to 70 combat

I really dislike the fact that Zalcano can die in 1 down now, makes mass worlds worthless for people with like 70s mining/rc. I can barely get 1kc out of every 5 or 6 kills now in the mass worlds when I was getting the kc 100% of the time pre-change.

Similar to the gem stalls. Dogershuun rich chests use the same technique of world hopping but the chests are closer than these stalls, more xp and better gem drops including topaz (Get a lot of sapphires from stalls).

I dont have the dual macuas on my ironman but i did naguas with the sulphur blade they drop. which is essentially a lower level variant of the same weapon. and i was stillg etting like 110k strr/h

About Zalcano. Rhiannon is a reference to the Fleetwood Mac song of the same name. Secondly, crystal shards are not the most valuable resource you get from Zalcano. And lastly, you can get 80k+ xp/hr in a four man team. Don't do masses, don't even duo

You have started something crazy at the fever spiders. Low to mid levels of all kinda are out there farming nonstop. Sadly I do think they should be nerfed as it sets too high a bar for a pure gp money maker for low requirements. Also I’m certain that bot farms are already being made for it. It’s just a little overtuned. Shouldn’t be able to make the same gp per hour from a lvl 40 spider as you do from rune dragons.

Fever spiders being better gp than mid-high slayer monsters like skeletal wyverns and brutal black dragons and is even better than end game monsters like rune dragons is kind of wild i think they need to nerf that or buff the other monsters doesnt make sense that a low level slayer monster gives more gp than high level slayer monsters the bots there is going to be insane and will ruin the economy and bring bonds to 15m+ which isnt good i think they need to nerf that to maybe 400k a hour not over 2m

I'll bet you can make that citizen pickpocketing a litte better, in terms of xp/hr. If it's based on a timer, and the kids ALWAYS do it at the same time every time. All you need to do is find another world that is opposite timing to that world and hop back and forth. Doubling everything
