The Varrock medium diary was very under rated imo. The ability to teleport directly to the GE is really big. For mid level accounts its an easy teleport close to a bank, close to a spirit tree, and for irons its close to Edgeville if you don't have a glory. Also the Kandarin Hard diary's increase in proccing enchanted bolts is multiplicatively applied. So Ruby bolts (e) only go from 6% chance to 6.6% chance.

This! I agreed with a lot of it but was crying at the Varrock medium being in D. For an unrestricted account the time saved by the GE tele is almost immeasurable, and like you said it has a lot of util for restricted accounts as well.

Ring of wealth already teleports to the GE though. Most diary teleports aren't easily replaced with a cheap item.

I think that the medium varrocks might be my personal best The ability to set the varrock teleport to the GE saves about 15 seconds each time Which is one of those things where it likely saves me about 5 minutes a week or as a rough guess 4.5hours per year

I agree I think the high alchs for lumby elite is a major part of the elite too, namely because you always have alchs, think barraging nechs or anything where your not on standard spell book. You don't have alchs and you guaranteed will run out of inventory space, the ring takes one slot and gives 30 high alchs. Definitely a top tier elite diary

Can confirm, using Raiments of the Eye to complete “craft x number of runes at once” tasks does work, however, it does not work for the Fremennik one to craft 56 Astral Runes. This is because that is an entire inventory of double runes, and the full raiments only gives you 60% extra runes, so doing that before 82 RC would only yield 45 runes. Still need a spicy stew for that one. It does work however, on anything where the base requirement would be more than 2 runes, since going from 2 to 3 is a 50% increase, the 60% increase covers that. So raiments works on the Runecrafting tasks from Hard Falador, Elite Lumbridge, Elite Varrock, and Elite Falador Diaries, but NOT on the Elite Fremennik and Karamja Diaries. Hope that helps!

@@NoLeather for sure! As a side note, the diary that this helps with the most is the Falador Elite task to craft 252 Air Runes. Normally that requires 88 RC, but as that’s 9 runes per essence, you can actually do it as soon as you’d normally craft 6 per essence, which is level 55. An effective 33 level boost for a diary task. Granted, it’s unlikely that you’ll have the full outfit at 55, but it’s also possible with 3 pieces at level 66, or 2 pieces at level 77. Still a LOT better than getting 88

The thing you missed for hard Ardy is pickpocketing master farmers. They're decent money if you can get the ranarrs (with high farming), but it's really important for irons. Ideally you get ranarrs from farming contracts, sepulchre and other PvM. But if you need to stock up prayer potions quickly, the absolute fastest way by a very large margin is pickpocketing master farmers.

Just wanted to clarify that the 10% extra enchanted bolt bonus is not added to the bolt chance total, but actually 10% of the existing chance. For example, ruby bolts (e) have a 6% base chance to proc, (PvM) and is increased to 6.6% with the Hard Kandarin diary completed (not 16% chance). Most people think it adds 10% more, but it adds 10% to the chance of it occurring.

The easy kandarin headgear offers a niche benefit to snowflake accounts wanting to do pest control. Chopping logs in order to repair doors and barriers can offer reward potential without combat xp, or for 10hp accounts

Lyre is a slept on item. It's the easiest to obtain item that provides you with unlimited teleports super close to a bank, and super close to a POH. Neitiznot tele is super close to a bank, and the POH is portal is super close to the Fremmy teleport. If you hate making teletabs on an iron, it's super good. It even retains a niche as you get other more impressive teleport items, because it takes you near some clue locations, and its also something you can take onto Entrana.

Nardah TP on desert elite is pretty solid if you don't have a maxed house for con cape since it's wearable and isn't consumed (not that house tabs are that expensive or anything) but yea, I ended up using it a lot during clues/PVM/afk stuff for recharging and quick teleports/clues.

So basically, hard diaries give the best overall rewards for all tiers based on requirements (except easy Ardy which is arguably most important for irons throughout most of the early to mid game). Aim for hard and you’ll be set for a fantastic mid/late game!

5:45 honestly, I found the fremennik rewards helpful simply due to a lack of a bank or quick teleports to the area. And before I realized I could build a portal to Lunar Isle, I had Peer the Seer deposit my lyre while attempting the Dragon Slayer 2 boss, so I didn't risk losing it on death. As for my current grind, I just finished the longest one so far of unlocking and completing Song of the Elves last night, so I guess next is either Gauntlet or a quest cape. Right now I'm dealing with messy code at work, though.

Just want to note that if your an Ironman than the Kandarin Easy Diary also requires 42 I think crafting to make a fishing bowl as you can't just buy one off the AH unless you want to have to do a mini-quest and farm Mogre. Also you need to get farming above 50 for the Easy Mory diary for Watermelons so heads up.

I think you undervalued the ardy hard diary, as it's stats while equipped are pretty reliable as well. It, and it's successor the ardy elite cape, are two of the only wearable items for regular accounts due to the BiS stab attack bonus, and the prayer bonus they provide. It's definitely better than medium, for sure.

On my ironman, the lumby easy ring was huge for getting free early mage levels by alching at the mage training arena. You can get 1-2k xp a day with without any runes. Plus the run energy is nice.

Not sure if anyone said it yet but the Kandarin easy diary helm doubles the logs from simple trees and that’s really good for hunter rumours. Makes getting the logs much easier

The only diaries that Raiments of the Eye helps with are Falador Hard, L&D Elite, Varrock Elite, and Falador Elite. These are listed on the wiki page for the outfit. As the full set only grants a 1.6x multiplier, it cannot supplant the Runecrafting level needed to craft 2 runes of a certain type per essence.

The outfit has a small qol use for the double rune tasks like fremmy and karamja. Since it's a 1.6x, you can craft the correct number of runes with less essence, so you can actually take stews with you to the altar. Still need the correct level, but you don't need to run from a bank when you get the boost or have a friend/alt trade you essence.

Ardy hard in B tier is craaazy, that pickpocketing boost is huge for elves and vyres. Desert hard is also S tier for irons, making unfinished potions and crushing nests etc in nardah is such a big boost to herblore. Fremennik hard is also at least A tier for herb runs, getting to that herb patch is a pain in the ass without the diary.

I've only recently started doing harder combat challenges. I'm nearly base 70s and hoping to max inferno cape eventually. Right now, I'm working on Gnome Restaurant and aerial fishing, although I switch around frequently. I try to take advantage of daily slime and bonemeal, battlestaves, and flax to train skills I otherwise find boring.

The Ardy cloak itself is a very useful cape too for it's stats, and each tier increase said stats. Specially Medium, it doubles the stats of easy, and makes it quite viable to use. +4 prayer(and some melee atk and def) is nothing to snuff at.

Currently I just got d skim and defender and I’m trying to figure out what stats/gear/account upgrades I need/should try to get before doing barrows. Would love to see a vid about what you can get away with for the bare minimum barrows gear/stats and what you should/can do to optimize (like mortaynia legs and house pool I’ve read are really useful).

Barrows can be done with very little gear. For stats, I'd suggest training to 70's so you can wear good gear and get decently fast kills, but you could get away with lower if you really want to. You can camp melee gear for most of the brothers since they have negative mage defense. You only want you magic weapon and any gear with % damage boost. For low budget, trident+occult necklace will be fine. Bring an msb(i) or bp (if you are ok with charge costs) to kill ahrim along with a mage gear switch since you want the accuracy on him. Use your dscim+defender to get reward potential in the crypts, and only get enough reward potential to get the tier of runes you want(73-88% for most gp). Depending on gear and levels, melee may be better than mage on karil too. For upgrades, MA2 cape is a free bis mage item, medium combat achievement hilt negates the prayer drain when worn, and hard mory diary gives bonus runes. Bring strange old lockpick to speed up trips. Lower req teles will be a dueling ring and barrows tele tabs. When you are able to do your runs without losing any hp, you can just build an altar and a barrows portal in your poh.

Having personally just unlocked it, I think Lumbridge Hard is a bit underrated. Extra Tears xp is awesome for training skills you hate, and the teleports being unlimited has been really handy for both herb runs and questing. Dont have to stress about using up your limited daily teleports anymore.

Being able to go from deep wildy to a bank quickly without any other teleports is very convienent imo and given its an easy diary, the quality of life boost is impactful at any level.

rada's blessing, explorers ring and ardy cloak are really worth talking about for the stats. getting a non-clue scroll blessing is huge and the easy/medium cape is practically bis before fight caves. all 3 are free prayer bonus items you can take into the wildy with zero risk also i can tell you haven't done some of these in a long time since you didn't even mention the gout tuber when talking about karamja medium. that thing is 1.2m on the GE as of writing this

desert amulet 1 is good for irons. goat horn is used for combat pots which i think most irons will want. so if they drop in noted form it just makes farming much easier. all you need is combat gear, 1 slot for noted goat horn, 1 slot for combat pot, 26 slots for waterskins.

Gotta say, I disagree for Lumby Ring 3/4 being any less than S for pre-Construction cape (which most people will be at, generally). Infinite cabbage Port with a Spirit Tree in your house and planted at Port Sarim is a ~12% run energy (0kg) trip to virtually any TP you can afford to setup in your house when you can plant Spirit Trees. No Dramen Staffs needed for Fairy Rings means an extra inventory space for Fairy Ring tasks and an even faster trip to your house (albeit, mouse usage vs keyboard usage). No need to buy tabs, just bring a QC or Ring (you usually should be bringing an emergency TP regardless, which you can adjust the items to be with RL). The emergency TP point becomes less relevant when not using RL, however.

84 buckets a day is a nice free 2.5k for logging in (doesn't matter if current on membership) so it makes a nice little daily log reward, but that only would add up to a little under 900k over an entire year. or a bond for logging in every day for a decade worth. so very much on the little side.

For Karamja Medium, 100% favor isn't too bad. The true showstopper is exchanging gems for a gem machete, purely for the gout tuber requirement. Those things are so obnoxiously rare for how little you actually get to do with them. I played Cleanup for over two hours and didn't get a single one, to the point where spending 750k on the Grand Exchange just for a single diary requirement started to look real tempting. Fremennik diary, making your way through Waterbirth Isle was the most annoying for me. It's an incredibly long dungeon full of constant attacks without even a moment to rest and get your bearings, and for the relatively low level you can do the rest of medium diary at, it's very easy to get slaughtered trying to make it through.

Underating Kourend Woodland. faster to get to Woodcutting Guild redwoods/bank area than the skills necklace. Right by the recharge point for Kharedst/Dead thus facilitating all the assocated teleports. there's a bank by the port so unless youre ranging you can always have a last resort "i forgot other teles" item always on you thats better than home tele.

Desert 4 is easily S tier. It's pretty common for people to put it as just a good diary, but the actual benefits that come from that diary as you move toward late/end game are massive. For general play, that extra hp does make a difference long term for bosses. When paired with other tele items like diary cape, quest cape, etc the time save becomes noticeable. The smaller unlocks also offer big improvements to the content they are tied to. Free pass through shantay paired with the free carpet rides from hard and the 100 charges for scepter make getting around the desert really fast. Scepter at 100 charges also feels great when camping pyramid plunder. KQ goes from complete aids to pretty braindead with the reset methods you unlock. Overall benefits seem just ok on paper, but when you use them to their full potential, they are massive. Can make similar points for a lot of the elite diaries, especially lumby. Lumby elite comes with the side benefit of having all quests done on top of the very underrated unlocks mentioned in the video. When you start getting through the midgame, the qol from them starts to become seriously noticeable. And diary cape teles alone make getting all elites extremely worth it. When I try to do content on my alt, it feels like a different game sometimes after being so used to having all the diaries and the unlocks you get on the way to elites.

about the authenticator for varrock: you need it to access the last or second to last reward in the stronghold of security. i got stuck at the start of the last league because of it lol also, some.of the ones you ranked low are decent for ironmen. like, nardah teles are pretty good, because you can go pray at that state for boosted pray points and nardah is kinda shit to get to as an ironman. sure, the rugs go there but first you gitte get to those and the flights are much slower than a teleport. and the kebos medium gets +1 prayer which makes it on paar with all purchasable options for the arrow that's nice for ironmen cauae we often can't get blessings that easily. and higher level kebos blessings are just straight up bis. then, I think you completely undervalued varrock armour, because it's one of the few items that actually gets used a ton. people powermine iron in the guild with it all the time, for instance.

the "money maker" brainrot is so real and pervasive. noooooone of these rewards are bad for irons, but the focus on profit, profit, profit, devalues the achievement diaries as a whole. it's sad. the game is so much more fun when you dont engage with the economy, its actually insane

Well that entirely depends what you find fun lol, once I de ironed my alt, and could buy things like pots, food, items for quests I found I was having a lot more fun and was able to skip a lot of tedium and chores and do the content I wanted to do and actually enjoyed.

Mediums for ardy/lumb/varrock pretty underrated in this list. Toggle Varrock tele to GE is great. And the farming patch teles from ardy/lumb medium are amazing. I guess high B is not bad for those teles. But D tier on Varrock seems like mostly driven by how useless the armor is lol.

i dont find the armour that useless at all .. especially for irons.. to train mining is a pain in the ass. .and some people like to power mine iron.. getting 2 iron at the same time will fill your inv faster.. making for faster xp/h. also .. very useful for GOTR.

Kandarin medium is way better than c tier. 5% more herbs is huge. 10% more marks of grace is huge as well since you will use seers village agility course for pretty much the entire grind of agility unless you suffer through sepulcher. The most annoying thing with it is also barbarian assault. Idk how that wasn't even mentioned.
