I discovered alot of great indie games this year like A Short Hike, Spiritfarer and Part Time UFO. I did buy Animal Crossing as a distraction but they hooked me with over 500 hours of gameplay. I basically built all the fun things that 2020 took from us so my daughter and I can at least pretend life is normal for a little while. Only BOTW has more hours gameplay in my household. It has been a stressful year, but playing the Nintendo Switch really helped us make it through. Corny but true.

I have the borderlands collection,the bioshock collection,Crysis,Dragon ball Z Xenoverse, Breath of the wild and the Assassins Creed Collection. What other games do you recommend, like these games? I want GTAV and Far cry 5/the Far cry collection, The evil with in, is really good too, BUT I doubt ANY of these titles are available. I hope the next Switch has a 1080p screen and can run games, like GTAV/Farcry 5, in handheld mode, at 60FPS capped/never drop below 60FPS, ALSO it NEEDS Bluetooth, for headphones and OBVIOUSLY, it NEEDS to be backwards compatible/ALL games on Switch1/2, NEEDS to run on Switch pro. I just got Doom, Wolf and stein and Skyrim.

When I downloaded animal crossing, I played it pretty hard. It was fun for about 3 months, but I never got my island the way I wanted it, and that is what made it lose its appeal to me. It was too difficult to construct what I wanted and I had artist block. My ideas were too scattered and the sad fact was that other people's perfect islands made me feel like garbage because I wondered who had these genius ideas. I ended up trying to collect things, like umbrellas, but that was easier done than said because of how generous the community was in giving me things. It wasn't until I switched from a Nintendo switch lite to a regular Nintendo switch that I started considering rebuilding a new island since the save data doesn't transfer. And because my friend also didn't have an island of her own, it would be a perfect time to try and restart my island because she now had her own console (her own island, too!?). Maybe this game will become just as relevant to me a year later. Who knows. Do I think it's the best game? Not for me, but I did put a lot of hours into it 😅 and it was a time suck, in a good way, which is what you need in these quaran-times.

They almost needed a save feature before you start a terraforming project that way if you dont like what you did, you could revert back like nothing was done. I like how my island is naturally set up and if i don't like my project, i dont have the confidence to make the island what it used to be. Plus don't be jealous of those super decorated islands. They are too cluttered to even run around and do daily tasks.

ACNH was perfect to pass quarantine, but I stopped playing because I didn't have good luck in the game. A classic example are Nook Miles Trips. If I took 100 trips to random islands over the course of 20 days, I would never see new fruit trees like cherries and apples. After Celeste finally visited my island, I kept waiting for meteor showers so I could collect star fragments. 60 days later, no meteor showers since Celeste's original visit. It was so frustrating to play the game every day, and I couldn't collect the same items other players had. ALL OF THIS would've been solved if I used the time travel cheat, but I wasn't comfortable doing that. I didn't want to risk my game glitching, etc.
