Should I play breath of the Wild before tears to the kingdom?
@ThomasGraberАй бұрын
Absolutely. Tears picks up right after BotW. Also if you love Tears so much that you'd wanna go back, Tears has so many improvements it makes going back to BotW tough. Not impossible, but tough all the same.
@SwitchboredАй бұрын
Tears is built to be played after botw. Its a sequel. Tears also doesnt really talk about the events of botw much so you might question things if you havent already played botw first. Botw is also a great introduction to the series for new zelda players, whereas Totk is way more advanced and feels like you need required knowledge of past games. Up to you though.

I just picked up my Switch this past Thursday. I haven't had a Nintendo since the early 90's with NES. I have wanted to play BOTW for what seems like forever, didn't even know about TOTK until after I got my Switch & BOTW. Now I'm wondering if I should've went with TOTK instead, especially if it upgrades the things from BOTW that is a bit frustrating (why can't I call my horse from anywhere!? kinda ridiculous imo).
@so9505Ай бұрын
About the horse calling from anywhere thing. There is something like that in the dlc. Some areas you can’t use a horse though and so won’t be able to call them there.
@KyotiАй бұрын
@so9505 oh, I'll have to look into that. Lots to wrap my head around with this game
@SwitchboredАй бұрын
Hmm... botw is the easier game to introduce yourself to out of the Botw/totk games. Both games have pros and cons. Botw is smaller but feels more polished. Totk is bigger and more creative but has many more flaws than botw. For story you have to play botw first, but if you dont care about that.. play totk first as its more the game that nintendo wanted to make but couldnt during botws development. Also why totks story is better than botws, its full of plot holes and massive inconsistancies that can take you out of the game, things like repeated cutscenes, dialogue and characters not acknowledging the progression of the story. In regards to horses. Totk is a games heavily built around building things like vehicles. During my playthrough i rarely used the horse as building vehicles was more convenient.
@chasethompson3958Ай бұрын
Sam, I’m 60 hours into BOTW, but haven’t beat the main story yet. I’m wondering if I got TOTK if I would be able to go back and forth between the two while I finish both. Is that reasonable, or should I finish BOTW completely, then buy TOTK? Thanks!
@SwitchboredАй бұрын
Finish botw. Tears is a sequel and requires your knowlege of botw's overall story.

Mario kart 8 is not worth it in my opinion. It is already 10 years old and the mariokart 9 is definitely going to be launching alongside switch 2, which would just make 8 a lot cheaper for anyone who still wants to play it. Plus the game is not as fun as the others on this list
@bm7502Ай бұрын
It is fun when played with several friends. Switch 2 has not been announced, so mario kart 9 is probably at least 1 year from release, possibly more.
@SwitchboredАй бұрын
I disagree but thats fine, Its your opinion. I believe MK9 will be very quick to launch on the next nintendo console as its arguably more popular than the mainline mario games, just look at the numbers for purchases of MK8D. But to say the largest MK game of all time isnt worth it because the next gen nintendo console (which hasnt been officially revealed yet) is obsurd. MK8 is a great game and is imo the best MK game of all time just because it packs so much content and replayability.

Is it worth to buy used Oled Switch now, or should I wait for new one next year? I have always been a PC gamer and would really love to try my hands on Switch games.
@so9505Ай бұрын
Depends on how much you would use it before switch 2 comes out. Also how many games you would want to play as well. The counter argument to waiting is that you don’t know what could happen in the future and if you would be able to play. Also not many games would be available straight away that would be exclusive to switch 2 and also you would be able to play the games you want asap instead of having to wait an unknown amount of time. Also don’t know if the switch 2 would have an oled screen if that’s important to you. The argument for would be that you wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of selling it afterwards to buy the switch 2. Also don’t know how much it would decrease in price whether it’s very little or a lot. Also it might delay you from buying the switch 2.
@SwitchboredАй бұрын
Hmm its difficult. Depends how badly you want to play those games. Switch 2 has been confirmed to be backwards compatible so there is that. However i will say the switch imo is the greatest games console of all time for how versatile it is compared to other consoles on the market including the Steamdeck.
@rikux27Ай бұрын
Controversial opinion (perhaps) but BOTW is the better overall experience than TOTK. The sequel may have had better parts, but I think BOTW put its parts together better. TOTK felt like glorified DLC.
