Awesome! Beyond me...I just upgraded my 2012 PRHT to an ND shift-knob. Feeling pretty good about my self....

The peaceful cinematic edit was great. Looking forward to doing this on mine!

Great mod!! I am defiantly doing this one! OE parts are the best of the manufacturer. OEM is made for selling parts to the public after the car is produced and therefor gets less attention to detail when manufactured. Buy the OE (Original Equipment) if available, this is what the manufacturer chose to put on the car. Then they made copies of those parts, OEM (Original Equipment Manufactured) and sold them to replaced worn/damaged parts.

I have the Wilwood 12.88 6 piston front and rear. They are monsters! I'm considering this upgrade for my other nc2.

I wish you had weighed the new parts vs. the old. just for reference. always good to have some data points. I guess the RX-8 hubs are bigger/stronger? also, EBC "Red Stuff" pads might make a better comor match w/ those calipers. 😀
@ColoredinLight3 ай бұрын
Yea would have been good to do that, I'm just not interested in that for my set up. Was never worried about any extra weight!
@TqmmPl3 ай бұрын
Problem with this set is, that factory ABS unit from NC is not cooperating with RX-8 brakes. They are too big and they behave... funny on initial braking on track. Looks like calipers are too big and brake pump just cannot keep up with whole system then.

By not putting the dust shielding would this clog anything?
@homeoy3 ай бұрын
Great video! Did you decide to leave the dust shield off and did you do anything special to stop the brake line from leaking while swapping calipers? Thanks!
@ColoredinLight3 ай бұрын
Brake shields on the NC wont fit the larger rotors. I couldn't find replacements quick enough so I'll deal with the dust. The white wheels already get annihilated so no big deal to me. No trick to getting brake fluid to not leak, it just will.

Can you fit rx8 brake to the rear, thank you.

Yes you can! I plan on doing that along with the differential since it's more involved.

Not worth the weight penalty. If stock is good enough for the cup cars... 🤷

@@ColoredinLight I track mine constantly. I run TimeAttack and Trackdays. Adding unsprung weight was un necessary and a compromise in performance.
