Al Green’s song saved my marriage during my postpartum depression and my husband’s cocaine addiction in early 80s while I immigrated from Korea to U.S by marrying an American . His soothing voice and heart wrenching lyrics was the my best medication during the horrible marriage and we are still happily married after 40 years with five children .

Grew up in Memphis living in apartment on Winchester blvd, Al Green had a recording studio across the from Tops barbecue, I used to get my self a barbecue sandwich and ride my bike across the street to his recording studio and I would set under the window of his studio and listen for hours. I got to say hello a few times. I was 10 years old and I will never forget them days.
