Thanks for the memories. This is the kind of music they played in the Infantry club “Canadian Club officially”. on our base in Germany. From our Base Radio station. Saturday mornings and early afternoon. Very appropriate for healing hangovers. For us twenty something soldiers in 1980 era.
outstanding music and and a great entertainer. Buck was that, just great. I miss music like this on the radio.

There are many who only know Owens from Hee Haw and they think he was just some goofy TV show guy. They don't realize how he WAS the Bakersfield Sound that took Country by storm. He didn't follow the trend, he MADE it.

Did you know that BUCK OWENS ONCE BROKE IN MY HOME. I FOUND HIM IN MY KITCHEN EATING A HAM SANDWICH AND DANCING WITH MY DAUGHTER. HE LATER MARRIED HER AND THEY HAD FIVE HOGS OF THEIR OWN. BUT THEY ONLY ATE BEEF
