This man can do impressions of absolutely anything. He did drumming impressions and nailed them too.

Okay, so I was an asshole when I lived in Portland and got irritated at the show and them filming there, but to be honest, it was one of the funniest TV shows of the last decade. 😄😆🤣

Yep. As an also young hipster I hugely disliked him. I eventually realized I was just jealous of Fred. Now I see he's basically exceptional

I don't understand why Portlanders hated this show. It's so good and I feel like it's the most Portland thing ever to hate it. But I also feel like I'm missing something. I've lived in PDX. I don't get the hate at all.

The thing he said about his drumming over the decades, can be applied to guitar. I'm in my late 30s and I can already feel my taste evolving to slower and more laidback feel, not rushing to prove how fast or how many hooks I can squeeze into 4 bars.

He was pretty damn funny on SNL and Portlandia, for a while I was annoyed by him. But his impersonations were funny. I don't know who he is personally, but the sketches were good and the Priest in Easy A was gold.

one thing I've always wondered, and maybe someone out there has an answer to this, is why did Carrie Brownstein and Fred never make music together? If they did and I missed it, let me know. Both of them are musical, though. 'Why just Portlandia?' is my question. Were they tired of each other when they stopped the show? I know they're good friends. Would love if anyone has the insight

I've been binging interviews since I've been binge watching Portlandia for the first time and I don't remember which interview it was said, but I remember Fred saying when he and Carrie met and knew they wanted to work together they didn't want to do music because if felt too obvious, so they seemed to make the effort to stay away from that and find something else, which I think led to ThunderAnt and then Portlandia of course. Now that the show's been done perhaps they will come back together on something musical as a way of working together again.

I actually went to high school with Fred Armisen... One time in 8th grade he gave me a wedgie... Not a standard wedgie but an atomic wedgie that rode up my crack so bad that they had to surgically remove my undies... Found out years later that the doctor pinned them to his wall because they found it so funny. That was the summer my cousin Vinny got pinched for loitering.
