@@Ares14SJ wouldn’t take Hagens first. I guarantee you they’d take Schaefer.

@@jasoncoladonato1034 tbh I don't have the blackhawks or the sharks taking Hagens. I think they pick Martone and the Sharks take Schaefer. It's just fun to speculate.

I wanted to see him utilize his skating and drive play more by circling the offense zone similar to how Jack Hughes did. He has all the traits it will just come down to development.

Great video! Is Emil Heineman worthy of a David St-Louis Breakdown?

Maybe! I've always really liked Heineman.

What's the main difference between Hagens and Berkly Catton last year?
@davidst-louis83154 күн бұрын
Stronger, more physical skills, better skater, more overall skill, better playmaking vision...Just a better prospect all around, but there are some similarities in style.
@jfkst14 күн бұрын
I definitely notice a profound difference in puck handling and playmaking with Hagens being superior at both compared to Catton

@@davidst-louis8315 Wow, it sounds like Hagens could be a franchise cornerstone then.

Hagens seems like a better two-way player too
@rogash1751Күн бұрын
It's definitely speed, dynamics. He will feel better under pressure. Otherwise, both have impressive skills. I rate Catton very highly.

Hagens is going to be special in the NHL, but there's no rush. He should really consider following in the path of his buddies, Leonard/Perreault, who went back for a second year. They are markedly better players/prospects for not rushing off to the league.

Can you make a Ryan Leonard video

I watch him play and while he is admittedly good, i just dont get that same 1st overall caliber "vibe" from him that i did from Bedard and Celebrini. I dont know if maybe we've just been spoiled the last couple of years, but he does seem slightly underwhelming as a 1st overall caliber talent.
@davidst-louis83154 күн бұрын
It's more of a group this season than a consensus one, like 2022. Hagens/Schaefer/Misa/Martone are better in their draft-year than Slafkovsky/Wright/Cooley were, however.
@NF122224 күн бұрын
Same here, as a fellow American, I'd love to see him go #1, but he doesn't jump out as the top pick to me either. Extremely talented, but like you said, maybe it's just Bedard and Celebrini back to back that has skewed expectations.

Maybe true but makes draft day so much more fun when it really is a grab bag. A lot more anticipation.

He does all of the little things exceptionally well. He has maybe the best hockey iq i have seen in a prospect in a long time. I feel like if you understand hockey, you understand why he is a projected #1 pick. His understanding of the game reminds me of a crosby, mcdavid, or almost Gretzky(hate to make that comparison). I think his size and skill are his weaknesses, and those are still around nhl level. In particular, i think his skating ability could use the most work and improving speed, quickness, and agility along with continuing to work on his stickhandling, would fit well with his play style. His level of understanding of the game seemed significantly higher than any other player i watched in the world juniors.
